OnePlus recently unveiled the OnePlus 10 Pro in China with the global launch still in the loop. While that is yet to happen, there are already rumors of a OnePlus 10 Ultra which is expected to have a spectacular camera setup.
We may have just spotted a sketch of the 10 Ultra via a recent patent which the Chinese company secured in September 2021. The device bears a close semblance with the OnePlus 10 Pro but the camera layout is noticeably different.

The patent image which was spotted by tipster @TechInsider shows a rectangular camera that indicates a mirror-aided periscope camera. This will be a first in the OnePlus lineup if it pans out as the patent suggests. That is because the company had only used telephoto lenses on previous models but since its merger with OPPO, we expect such radical changes. It was recently rumored that the company was planning to merge the OxygenOS and HydrogenOS custom ROM to one known as H2OOS.
The OnePls 10 Ultra is also expected to come with a few other changes from the 10 Pro, one of which could be an in-house MariSilicon NPU that will further improve the imaging capabilities of the phone’s camera.
The 10 Ultra is tipped to arrive in the second half of the year which is still a long time away. Thus, we expect further details to emerge before then.
