<h2>3. OnePlus Turbo 6 series</h2>

<p><strong>Launch date: January 8, 2026</strong></p>

<p>OnePlus has also locked in the same date for the launch of its flagship-grade OnePlus Turbo 6 series. However, it will <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/12/29/oneplus-turbo-6-turbo-6v-images-variants-launch-date/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">debut in China</a> and will likely launch with a different name for the rest of the world.</p>

<p>The lineup comprises OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V. The former is confirmed to pack a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, a 1.5K resolution display with support for a 165Hz refresh rate.</p>

<div><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/OnePlus-Turbo-6V-silver-1024x1024.jpg?x44794" class="td-modal-image"><figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/OnePlus-Turbo-6V-silver-1024x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="OnePlus Turbo 6V" class="wp-image-721277" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/OnePlus-Turbo-6V-silver-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/OnePlus-Turbo-6V-silver-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/OnePlus-Turbo-6V-silver-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/OnePlus-Turbo-6V-silver-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/OnePlus-Turbo-6V-silver-696x696.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/OnePlus-Turbo-6V-silver-1068x1068.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/OnePlus-Turbo-6V-silver-420x420.jpg 420w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/OnePlus-Turbo-6V-silver.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></a></div>

<p>The highlight of the Turbo 6 series is the battery capacity. The Turbo 6 packs a massive 9,000mAh battery, while the Turbo 6V will arrive with a smaller but still powerful 7,000mAh battery.</p>

<p>The OnePlus 6V is confirmed to feature a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor and a 6.8-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi </a>is gearing up to bring a new lineup of mid range POCO smartphones to the global market. Earlier teasers have revealed that the POCO M8 series will launch soon. But a fresh leak has revealed that the POCO M8 and POCO M8 Pro might not be arriving together. We also get more details regarding their specs as well, so here&#8217;s everything you need to know.</p>

<h2>POCO M8 and POCO M8 Pro Rumored Launch Window</h2>

<p>The latest information arrives from known tipster <em><a href="https://x.com/heyitsyogesh/status/2001623365589909505?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Yogesh Brar</a></em>, who shared the details on X (formerly Twitter). Brar stated that the POCO M8 series will be debuted in the Indian market in the middle of next month, which is January 2026. While this is in line with our <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/12/21/poco-m8-series-india-teaser-early-january-launch/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">previous reports</a>, he later clarified that the POCO M8 Pro will get a mid Q1 2026 launch. In other words, the POCO M8 Pro could be unveiled sometime in February rather than January.</p>

<h2>POCO M8 and M8 Pro Leaked Specifications</h2>

<p>In the tweet, the tipster also revealed a bunch of key details of the upcoming smartphones. The POCO M8 Pro is expected to sport a tall 6.88-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. For photography, the device might offer a 50MP + 8MP dual camera setup on the rear and a 32MP selfie shooter on the front. Under the hood, it might be equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and house a massive 6,500mAh battery pack that supports 100W wired fast charging.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the POCO M8 could feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. We only have details for the 50MP main camera on the rear and a 20MP selfie shooter on the front. It may arrive with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip and be powered by a 5,520mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.</p>

<h3><strong>Poco M8 series incoming</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="556" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/image-146-1024x556.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-720219" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/image-146-1024x556.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/image-146-300x163.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/image-146-768x417.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/image-146-1536x834.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/image-146-2048x1112.png 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/image-146-696x378.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/image-146-1068x580.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/image-146-1920x1042.png 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/image-146-774x420.png 774w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The first teaser does not reveal anything, except for confirming that the brand is launching a new M-series soon. According to reports, the lineup will comprise two models, such as the Poco M8 and M8 Pro.</p>

<p>Likely, the brand will confirm the Poco M8 series launch date later this week. The Indian market will see the arrival of the Redmi Note 15 5G and Realme 15 Pro series <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/12/19/realme-16-pro-series-india-launch-200mp-camera/">on Jan. 6, 2026</a>. The upcoming M8 series will be the third major announcement for the Indian market.</p>

<p>Speculations surrounding the Poco M8 series suggest that the M8 and M8 Pro will be rebranded versions of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-15/">Redmi Note 15</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-15-pro-plus/">Note 15 Pro+</a>. As compared to the Redmi models, the M8 series is expected to sport a slightly different design.</p>

<p>It is also being said that while the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ has a 200-megapixel primary camera, the Poco M8 Pro will have a 50-megapixel main camera instead.</p>

<p>According to a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/12/14/poco-x8-pro-max-incoming-poco-f8-x8-cancelled-claims-report/">recent report</a>, the brand will shift to the Poco X8 Pro series after the M8 lineup. It is being said that the lineup will include the standard X8 this year. It is rumoured to comprise two models, such as the Poco X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max, as rebranded versions of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/redmi-turbo-5-pro-max">Redmi Turbo 5</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/redmi-turbo-5-pro-max">Turbo 5 Pro Max</a>, respectively, which are expected to launch in January in China. It is also being said that the standard <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/12/13/xiaomi-skipping-the-poco-x8-and-poco-f8/">Poco F8 will be skipped in 2026</a>.</p>

<h3><strong>Poco M8 series launch timeframe (rumored)</strong></h3>

<p>In a recent X post, tipster Abhishek Yadav also <a href="https://x.com/yabhishekhd/status/2001276588537856436">claimed </a>that the Poco M8 Pro will be a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/23/evidence-shows-poco-m8-pro-is-a-redmi-note-15-pro-rebrand/">rebranded version</a> of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-15-pro-plus/">Redmi Note 15 Pro+</a> with one major difference. While the Note 15 Pro+ has a 200-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 32-megapixel front camera, the Poco M8 Pro will have a 50-megapixel main camera, while the rest of the cameras will remain the same.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/poco/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Poco</a>’s next mid-range phone is getting closer to launch, and its latest stop is the FCC. The Poco M8 Pro, which is widely expected to be a rebrand of Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 15 Pro+, has now cleared US certification ahead of the global launch.</p>

<p>The device showed up under the model number 2510EPC8BG, with the “G” suffix confirming it&#8217;s a global variant. The device is seen running the HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15. The connectivity option includes support for 2G through 5G networks, Wi-Fi 6E, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth, and NFC, which has become standard across most Poco devices.</p>

<p>As for the battery, the FCC filing confirms the Poco M8 Pro will feature a 6330mAh rated battery (model number BM6J). Its adapter is modeled MDY-19-EX and is rated for 100W of power.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The listing also hints at three storage configurations: 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB.&nbsp;</p>

<p>To top it off, the phone has also been spotted in an IMEI database, where both the model number and the Poco M8 Pro name are mentioned together. This further confirms the launch is near.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Poco M8 Pro’s previous spotting on Xiaomi codebase with a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/23/evidence-shows-poco-m8-pro-is-a-redmi-note-15-pro-rebrand/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">model number similar</a> to Redmi Note 15 Pro+ hints that the two phones will share many of their specs. </p>

<p>To start off, you can expect an AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The phone could be powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, and feature a 200MP rear main camera coupled with an 8MP ultrawide. The front has a 32MP sensor for selfies.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Other specs include an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual speakers with a Dolby Atmos rating, and an IP68 rating.</p>

<p>In separate news, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G has just been<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/12/11/redmi-note-15-5g-series-launched-global-full-specifications-price/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> launched in Poland </a>for a starting price of around $550.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a>’s sub-brand<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/poco/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> POCO</a> may soon refresh its mid-range lineup, and the upcoming POCO M8 Pro looks like it will carry more than a little DNA from Redmi’s latest release.</p>

<p>According to new reports, the device could be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, which launched in China this week as part of the broader Redmi Note 15 series.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="518" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Poco-M8-Pro-battery.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-703045" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Poco-M8-Pro-battery.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Poco-M8-Pro-battery-300x173.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Poco-M8-Pro-battery-768x442.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Poco-M8-Pro-battery-696x401.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Poco-M8-Pro-battery-730x420.jpg 730w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>The Redmi Note 15 family includes three models: the standard Note 15 5G, Note 15 Pro 5G, and Note 15 Pro+ 5G. The global version of the Pro+ has already been rumored to ship with some minor differences compared to its Chinese counterpart.</p>

<p>For instance, firmware details uncovered by X user PaperKing 13 reveal that the Note 15 Pro+ global version will have a 6,500mAh battery and 100W charging, instead of a 7,000mAh and 90W setup combo found in China.</p>

<h2><strong>A change of strategy for Poco</strong></h2>

<p>The same firmware also points to the device launching under POCO’s banner as the M8 Pro. Although POCO rebranding Redmi phones is nothing new, what’s interesting here is how Xiaomi seems to be shuffling its strategy.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="300" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Poco-M8-Pro-a-rebrand-of-Redmi-Note-15-Pro-Plus.jpg?x44794" alt="Poco M8 Pro a rebrand of Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus" class="wp-image-703044" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Poco-M8-Pro-a-rebrand-of-Redmi-Note-15-Pro-Plus.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Poco-M8-Pro-a-rebrand-of-Redmi-Note-15-Pro-Plus-300x100.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Poco-M8-Pro-a-rebrand-of-Redmi-Note-15-Pro-Plus-768x256.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Poco-M8-Pro-a-rebrand-of-Redmi-Note-15-Pro-Plus-696x232.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>The POCO M7 Pro was a rebrand of the standard Redmi Note 14. As a result, we are expecting the successor to be a rebrand of vanilla Note 15. But things seem to be different now. </p>

<p>As a rebrand, the POCO M8 Pro will feature a 6,500mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging. It will also reportedly use OmniVision’s OVX8000 main camera, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. </p>

<p>Other hardware should closely mirror the Redmi Note 15 Pro+.<br>There are not many details about the launch yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop as soon as we hear more about it.</p>
