The phone&#8217;s launch confirmed the speculation that it is basically a rebranded<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-11/"> Redmi Note 11 5G</a> (aka <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-11t-5g/">Redmi Note 11T 5G</a>). However, the launch event showcased a teaser for another upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/poco" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">POCO</a> device which could be another rebranded <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Redmi/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Redmi</a> smartphone.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-443516" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/POCO-X4--1024x473.jpg?x44794" alt="POCO X4 Teaser" width="696" height="321" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/POCO-X4--1024x473.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/POCO-X4--300x139.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/POCO-X4--768x355.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/POCO-X4--696x321.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/POCO-X4--1068x493.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/POCO-X4--910x420.jpg 910w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/POCO-X4-.jpg 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>The teaser was first spotted by <a href="https://t.me/xiaomiui/10965" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>xiaomiui</em></a>, and leads us to believe that the teaser could be hinting at the upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/poco-x4/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">POCO X4</a> which has recently been making rounds on various <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/02/04/poco-x4-5g-launch-imminent-bags-vital-certification/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">certification databases</a> and has also appeared on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/02/06/poco-x4-5g-india-edition-spotted-at-geekbench-launch-seems-imminent/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Geekbench</a> a couple of times.</p>
<p>The smartphone in the obscured teaser image has a design similar to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-11-pro-5g/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Redmi Note 11 Pro</a>, which further leads us to believe that the device is the upcoming POCO X4 as recent <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/02/14/poco-x4-5g-global-variant-geekbench/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Geekbench listings</a> have revealed the X4 is essentially a rebranded Redmi Note 11 Pro.</p>
<figure id="attachment_440482" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-440482" style="width: 696px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-440482" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Redmi-Note-11-Pro-5G-1024x673.png?x44794" alt="Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G global edition" width="696" height="457" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Redmi-Note-11-Pro-5G-1024x673.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Redmi-Note-11-Pro-5G-300x197.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Redmi-Note-11-Pro-5G-768x505.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Redmi-Note-11-Pro-5G-696x457.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Redmi-Note-11-Pro-5G-741x486.png 741w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Redmi-Note-11-Pro-5G-1068x702.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Redmi-Note-11-Pro-5G-639x420.png 639w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Redmi-Note-11-Pro-5G.png 1243w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-440482" class="wp-caption-text">Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G global edition</figcaption></figure>
<p>The veiled camera bump also alludes that it could be the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/poco-f4-gt/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">POCO F4 GT</a> which is said to be a rebranded <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/redmi-k50-gaming-edition/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Redmi K50 Gaming Edition</a>, however, unless the image is digitally modified to omit the high placed volume button and shoulder trigger, it is unlikely that the teased smartphone is the upcoming POCO F4 GT.</p>
<p>Coming back to the POCO X4, as the device is expected to be a rebranded Note 11 Pro with a few cosmetic changes, we can expect it to carry a 6.67-inch S-AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection.</p>
<p>The POCO X4 will be powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-695">Snapdragon 695</a> SoC and will feature  6 GB / 8 GB of RAM. Storage options will likely range from 64GB to 128GB. It will come with a 5,000mAh battery that carries support for 67W fast charging. The X4 will run MIUI 13 out of the box and will feature a side-facing fingerprint scanner for security.</p>
<p>Coming to its photography capabilities, It will feature a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and a 108-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit.</p>
<p>It is too early to tell if the tested phone is indeed the POCO X4, so we suggest our readers take it with a pinch of salt.</p>

The upcoming M4 Pro will be a 4G model, but the company seems to be planning to launch the POCO X4, a 5G-ready handset, for the country. <p>The Indian edition of the POCO X4 5G with model number 2201116PI has appeared at the Geekbench. The global edition of the phone with model number 2201116PG has been spotted at several certification platforms in \recent weeks. <p>Coming back to the POCO X4 India edition’s Geekbench listing, it has scored 668 in the single-core and 2052 in the multi-core test. The listing reveals that it is powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset and 6 GB of RAM. The device comes preinstalled with Android 11.</p>
<p>Reports have claimed that the POCO X4 5G will be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. However, it may come equipped with a unique rear design. The Note 11 Pro 5G has a 6.67-inch S-AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It runs on MIUI 13 based Android 11.</p>

<p><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p>
<p>The NBTC has no information on the hardware specs of the POCO X4 5G. What makes the story confusing is that the same 2201116PG was seen with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/02/02/poco-x4-pro-5g-with-2201116pg-model-number-spotted-once-again/">POCO X4 Pro 5G moniker at TDRA</a>. There is a possibility that there could be some error with the TDRA listing. Past reports have revealed that the 220116PG is the model number of the Indian variant of the POCO X4 5G.</p>
<p>Reports have claimed that the POCO X4 5G will be a rebranded version of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/12/01/key-details-of-alleged-redmi-note-11t-pro-note-11-pro-global-note-11s-poco-m4-leaked/">global Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G</a>. As it has happened with previously released Redmi-POCO rebranded phones, the POCO X4 may arrive with a unique rear design as compared to the Redmi model.</p>
<h3><strong>POCO X4 5G specifications</strong></h3>
<p>The POCO X4 5G is likely to feature a 6.67-inch S-AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display. The device will feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera and a 108-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. The device may come preinstalled with MIUI 13 and Android 11 OS.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-695">Snapdragon 695</a> chipset may power the POCO X4 5G. The handset may ship with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It may house a 5,000mAh battery that carries support for 67W fast charging. The device may come other features like dual speakers, a side-facing fingerprint scanner, and a microSD card slot.</p>
<p>POCO is yet to launch its first smartphone this year. Probably, the POCO X4 5G could be the company’s first phone this year, which may debut as early as this month in multiple markets including India.</p>

The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/11/alleged-poco-x4-nfc-redmi-note-11-pro-global-edition-fcc-certified-few-details-emerge/">listing</a> revealed key specs such as MIUI 13, NFC, and support for n5, n8, n38, n41, n77, and n78 5G bands. A freshly spotted Malaysian certification reveals that the handset will be debuting in the market with the POCO X4 5G moniker.</p>
<p>Tipster Mukul Sharma’s tweet shows that the 2201116PG Xiaomi device will be launching in global markets with POCO X4 5G moniker. The same device with model number 2201116PI was spotted at the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) earlier this month. In India too, the device is likely to carry the same moniker.</p>

<p><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p>
<p>It can be said based on recent reports that the specifications of the POCO X4 5G could be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/20/global-redmi-note-11-pro-5g-tipped-to-feature-snapdragon-690-soc-miui-13-and-more/">similar to the upcoming Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G</a>. It was recently revealed by tipster Yogesh Brar that the Redmi model will be equipped with a 6.6-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. It is likely to come equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner.</p>
<p>The device is expected to feature a 16-megapixel camera on the front and a 108-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit on the back. It is likely to run on MUI 13 based Android 12 OS. The handset may draw power from a 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging.</p>
<p>The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G global edition is likely to be fueled by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-690">Snapdragon 690</a> chipset. It may come with 6 GB / 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The handset is scheduled to launch on Jan. 26 in global markets. The POCO X4 5G could be a tweaked version of the Note 11 Pro 5G. Probably, the POCO phone may debut at some point in February.</p>

<p>As can be seen in the screenshot, two Xiaomi phones with model numbers 2201116PI and 2201116PG have appeared in the IMEI database. The listings have no information on their specs, but they do confirm that these devices will be heading to the market as POCO devices.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-11/">Redmi Note 11 5G</a>, which was announced in China back in October, was made official in global markets with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-poco-m4-pro-5g">POCO M4 Pro 5G</a> moniker. The models that have appeared in the IMEI database suggests that the 2201116PI and 2201116PG Xiaomi phones could be a rebranded version of China’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-11-pro/">Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G</a>.</p>
<p>The 2201116PI model may launch as the POCO X4 and it could be heading to India soon. The 2201116PG could be arriving as the POCO X4 NFC in the global markets.</p>
