<p>The sub-Rs 25,000 segment remains one of the most competitive in the Indian smartphone market. Devices in this price band now offer strong performance, capable cameras, fast charging, and refined software, blurring the lines with pricier mid range models. Whether you’re a gamer or just someone who wants a balanced daily driver, we&#8217;ve rounded up the 5 best smartphones under Rs 25,000 that deliver the most bang for your buck right now.</p>

<h3>Realme P4 Power</h3>

<p>The realme P4 Power 5G starts off our list as a phone that aggressively targets power users with battery-hungry needs. What sets it apart is its massive 10,001mAh battery, making it one of the largest you&#8217;ll find in any commercially available smartphone right now. Pair this with an 80W wired fast charging, expect to spend less time charging your phone and more time using it.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="958" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-P4-Power-image-1024x958.png?x44794" alt="Realme P4 Power" class="wp-image-723512" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-P4-Power-image-1024x958.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-P4-Power-image-300x281.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-P4-Power-image-768x718.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-P4-Power-image-1536x1437.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-P4-Power-image-696x651.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-P4-Power-image-1068x999.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-P4-Power-image-449x420.png 449w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-P4-Power-image.png 1916w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Realme P4 Power </figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Apart from the battery, it sports a 6.8-inch 144Hz HyperGlow curved display that gets impressively bright for outdoor visibility. The MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset delivers smooth performance for daily tasks and gaming, and the 50MP + 8MP + 2MP camera setup handles everyday photography well enough.</p>

<h3>Nothing Phone (3a)</h3>

<p>Next up, the Nothing Phone 3a is one of the most exciting options in this price bracket thanks to its clean design and polished software experience. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and a 6.77-inch AMOLED display, it offers smooth visuals and capable performance for everyday use.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/image-219.png?x44794" alt="Nothing Phone (3a)" class="wp-image-684519" width="-39" height="-53" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/image-219.png 531w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/image-219-219x300.png 219w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/image-219-307x420.png 307w" sizes="(max-width: 531px) 100vw, 531px" /><figcaption>Nothing Phone (3a)</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>It offers a strong triple camera setup, with all three sensors actually being usable (main, telephoto, &amp; ultra wide). A sizeable 5,000mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports 50W wired fast charging. Nothing’s unique Glyph Lighting (and transparent construction) and refined Nothing OS give this phone a premium vibe normally reserved for higher-end devices, making it a strong contender if you value both aesthetics and performance.</p>

<h3>Redmi Note 14 Pro+</h3>

<p>The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G also brings some capable features to the Rs 25,000 price range. It packs a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with vibrant colors and a high refresh rate, paired with a massive 6200mAh battery supported by 90W fast charging. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Redmi-Note-14-Pro-Plus-Sand-Gold.png?x44794" alt="Redmi Note 14 Pro+" class="wp-image-679707" width="-159" height="-119" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Redmi-Note-14-Pro-Plus-Sand-Gold.png 876w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Redmi-Note-14-Pro-Plus-Sand-Gold-300x226.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Redmi-Note-14-Pro-Plus-Sand-Gold-768x578.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Redmi-Note-14-Pro-Plus-Sand-Gold-696x524.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Redmi-Note-14-Pro-Plus-Sand-Gold-558x420.png 558w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Redmi-Note-14-Pro-Plus-Sand-Gold-80x60.png 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Redmi-Note-14-Pro-Plus-Sand-Gold-265x198.png 265w" sizes="(max-width: 876px) 100vw, 876px" /><figcaption>Redmi Note 14 Pro+ in Sand Gold</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>You also get a versatile camera setup with the inclusion of a dedicated telephoto lens in this segment, giving it an edge over its rivals. This Xiaomi device delivers balanced performance, strong visuals, and a versatile camera setup, making it a compelling choice for those who want a more complete smartphone experience.</p>

<h3>Realme 14 Pro+</h3>

<p>The realme 14 Pro+ is another notable pick that blends performance with imaging prowess. It features a 6.83-inch curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, promising an immersive viewing experience, whether you’re gaming or streaming content.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="640" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-14-Pro-Plus-1024x640.png?x44794" alt="Realme 14 Pro Plus" class="wp-image-676157" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-14-Pro-Plus-1024x640.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-14-Pro-Plus-300x188.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-14-Pro-Plus-768x480.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-14-Pro-Plus-696x435.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-14-Pro-Plus-1068x668.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-14-Pro-Plus-672x420.png 672w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-14-Pro-Plus.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Realme 14 Pro+</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>On the camera front, the 14 Pro+ leans into capable imaging hardware, which also includes a telephoto shooter. With reliable battery life and fast charging, it’s one of the best balanced phones under this price range if you want rounded performance across use cases. Some of its notable features include Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, a big 6,000mAh battery pack, and 80W wired fast charging.</p>

<h3>OnePlus Nord CE 5</h3>

<p>Rounding up the list is the OnePlus Nord CE5, which strikes a great balance between performance, design, and long-term software support. It sports a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It doesn’t lag behind in performance either with the Dimensity 8350 Apex SoC, offering dependable responsiveness for social apps, multitasking, and even gaming. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OnePlus-Nord-CE-5-Review-GizmoChina-03-1024x768.jpg?x44794" alt="OnePlus Nord CE 5" class="wp-image-699983" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OnePlus-Nord-CE-5-Review-GizmoChina-03-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OnePlus-Nord-CE-5-Review-GizmoChina-03-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OnePlus-Nord-CE-5-Review-GizmoChina-03-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OnePlus-Nord-CE-5-Review-GizmoChina-03-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OnePlus-Nord-CE-5-Review-GizmoChina-03-1068x801.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OnePlus-Nord-CE-5-Review-GizmoChina-03-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OnePlus-Nord-CE-5-Review-GizmoChina-03-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OnePlus-Nord-CE-5-Review-GizmoChina-03-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/OnePlus-Nord-CE-5-Review-GizmoChina-03.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>OnePlus Nord CE 5</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Battery life is solid, and OxygenOS (based on Android) remains one of the cleaner software experiences you’ll find at this price, with buttery smooth UI animations and impressive customization options. If you’re looking for a phone that feels premium in day-to-day use without the premium price tag, the Nord CE5 makes a strong case.</p>

<p>The mid-range smartphone market has never been more competitive, and two of the latest entrants, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/nothing-phone-3a-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing Phone 3a Pro</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-14-pro-plus-5g/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Realme 14 Pro+</a>, bring compelling features to the table.</p>

<p>While both phones aim to deliver premium experiences at accessible prices, they take distinctly different approaches. Let’s dive into the specs, design, cameras, and overall user experience to see which one stands out.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="640" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-14-Pro-Plus-1024x640.png?x44794" alt="Realme 14 Pro Plus" class="wp-image-676157" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-14-Pro-Plus-1024x640.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-14-Pro-Plus-300x188.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-14-Pro-Plus-768x480.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-14-Pro-Plus-696x435.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-14-Pro-Plus-1068x668.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-14-Pro-Plus-672x420.png 672w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-14-Pro-Plus.png 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<h3><strong>Design &amp; Display</strong></h3>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing</a> has built its reputation on unique design, and the Nothing Phone 3a Pro continues that trend. It sports the brand’s signature semi-transparent rear panel with Glyph LEDs, offering a futuristic look that sets it apart from conventional slabs. The camera placement on the 3a Pro is also radical, featuring a semi-circular array, adding to its visual identity.</p>

<p>The Realme 14 Pro+, on the other hand, leans into a more elegant, premium aesthetic with a curved AMOLED display and color-changing back (in certain variants). While Nothing wins on the “standing out in a crowd” factor, Realme delivers a more polished and traditional premium feel.</p>

<p>On the display front, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/realme/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Realme</a> takes the lead. The 14 Pro+ boasts a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3840Hz PWM dimming, ensuring an ultra-smooth and flicker-free experience. The Nothing Phone 3a Pro, while still featuring a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, falls behind in terms of resolution and overall brightness calibration.</p>

<h3><strong>Performance &amp; Software</strong></h3>

<p>Both devices are powered by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/qualcomm/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Qualcomm</a>’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, making them evenly matched in raw performance. The Realme 14 Pro+, however, offers up to 12GB RAM with 512GB storage in its highest variant, whereas the Nothing Phone 3a Pro maxes out at 256GB storage. If you need more space, Realme is the better pick.</p>

<p>In terms of software, Nothing OS 3.1 on top of Android 15 provides a cleaner and more distinct experience, optimized for minimal bloat and smooth animations. Realme’s Realme UI 6.0, while feature-rich, includes additional AI features like AI Ultra Clarity 2.0, AI Snap mode, and AI Eraser 2.0, but can feel cluttered at times. If you prefer stock-like Android, Nothing OS is the better choice, whereas Realme UI offers more AI-driven features for users who want extra functionality.</p>

<h3><strong>Cameras</strong></h3>

<p>Camera setups differ significantly between these two phones. The Nothing Phone 3a Pro features a 50MP main sensor (<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/sony/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Sony</a> LYT-600) with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom (with up to 60x ultra-zoom), and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. On the front, it has a 50MP selfie camera, making it a strong choice for content creators.</p>

<p>Realme takes a different approach, with a 50MP Sony IMX896 main sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto with OIS and up to 120x digital zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. Its 32MP front camera is slightly weaker than Nothing’s, but still more than capable for selfies and video calls.</p>

<p>While Nothing’s periscope telephoto maxes out at 60x zoom, Realme takes it a step further with 120x zoom, though digital zoom at such high levels isn’t practical in most scenarios. If you need a better front camera, Nothing wins, but for extreme zoom capabilities, Realme has the edge.</p>

<h3><strong>Battery &amp; Charging</strong></h3>

<p>Battery performance is a key factor in daily use, and both phones bring long-lasting power. The Nothing Phone 3a Pro packs a 5000mAh battery with 50W wired charging, reaching 50% in just 19 minutes and 100% in 56 minutes. Realme goes further, featuring a 6000mAh battery, one of the highest capacities in this segment, paired with 80W SuperVOOC charging, which delivers 50% charge in just 24 minutes. However, neither phone supports wireless charging.</p>

<p>If you want a phone that lasts longer on a single charge, Realme wins with its larger battery and faster charging. But Nothing still offers solid endurance with fast charging speeds.</p>

Now, these devices are finally on sale in the region. The duo are a pair of upper mid range smartphones, which bring some unique specs. So let&#8217;s check out their specs, pricing, and launch offers.</p>

<h2>Realme 14 Pro</h2>

<p>Talking about the more affordable version first, the Realme 14 Pro (<strong><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/20/realme-14-pro-review/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Review</a></strong>) starts from 24,999 INR. This is for the 8GB + 128GB variant. The 8GB + 256GB option has a 26,999 INR price tag. The first sale of this device has just kicked off, with the Chinese brand also offering a flat 2,000 INR discount on both storage configurations. In other words, the effective price comes down to 22,999 INR and 24,999 INR respectively.</p>

<p>You can buy this device from the brand&#8217;s official website, Flipkart, and even offline channels. While it has a mid range price tag, it offers some notable specs like the special Pearl White variant, which features cold-sensitive technology. If the temperature falls below 16°C, the white rear panel slowly shifts into a wavy blue color scheme. Apart from that, you also get a Dimensity 7300, IP66+IP68+IP69 water and resistance rating, a massive 6,000mAh battery, 50MP dual cameras, and a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and up to 4500 nits peak brightness.</p>

<h2>Realme 14 Pro+</h2>

<p>While the specs device appears quite similar, the Realme 14 Pro+ packs various improvements over the base model. It has a taller 6.83-inch curved 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, 50MP triple camera (includes ultra wide + telephoto), IP66 + IP68 + IP69 rating, 6000mAh battery, and 80W wired fast charging.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/realme/">Realme</a> has just unveiled the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-14-pro/">Realme 14 Pro</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-14-pro-plus-5g/">Realme 14 Pro+</a> in India. While both phones offer a similar look with the color-changing back plate, a circular camera island, and the &#8220;MagicGlow Triple Flash&#8221;, the internal specifications make the Pro+ model stand out. In this article, we will be discussing how the higher-end model stands out from the standard one. You can check out the Realme 14 Pro <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/16/realme-14-pro-debuts-in-india-with-premium-features-at-a-mid-range-price/">here</a>. But before we deep dive, let&#8217;s take a look at the basics first.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="980" height="626" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Realme-14-Pro-back-design.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-668934" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Realme-14-Pro-back-design.jpg 980w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Realme-14-Pro-back-design-300x192.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Realme-14-Pro-back-design-768x491.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Realme-14-Pro-back-design-696x445.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Realme-14-Pro-back-design-658x420.jpg 658w" sizes="(max-width: 980px) 100vw, 980px" /><figcaption>Realme 14 Pro+ color changing back</figcaption></figure>

<p>The Realme 14 Pro+ is all about blending style and substance. It comes in three stunning colors: <strong>Pearl White, Suede Grey,</strong> and an India-exclusive <strong>Bikaner Purple</strong>. The showstopper is the Pearl White variant with its cold-sensitive technology—watch it change from white to shades of blue when temperatures drop below 16°C. Cool, right?</p>

<figure class="wp-block-video"><video controls src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Realme-14-Pro-back-plate-changing-color.mp4"></video></figure>

<h2>Specs, design, and features: what sets the 14 Pro+ apart?</h2>

<p>The Realme 14 Pro+ packs a 6.83-inch micro-curved AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution (2800×1272). This is bigger than the Pro’s 6.77-inch screen which also has a relatively lower FHD+ (2392×1080) resolution.</p>

<p>Under the hood, the Pro+ is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, which is a step up from the Dimensity chip in the Pro model. Both phones share the same Realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15 and a massive 6000mAh battery, but the Pro+ takes the lead with 80W fast charging, compared to the Pro’s 45W.</p>

<p>The camera department is where the Pro+ really shines. It boasts a 50MP Sony IMX896 (1/1.56&#8243;) primary camera, a 50MP 3x periscope lens that supports &#8220;120X SuperZoom&#8221;, and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. Add to that a 32MP selfie camera, and you’ve got a pretty serious photography setup. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Extreme-low-light-shot-main-camera-1024x768.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-668938" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Extreme-low-light-shot-main-camera-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Extreme-low-light-shot-main-camera-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Extreme-low-light-shot-main-camera-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Extreme-low-light-shot-main-camera-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Extreme-low-light-shot-main-camera-1068x801.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Extreme-low-light-shot-main-camera-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Extreme-low-light-shot-main-camera-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Extreme-low-light-shot-main-camera-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Extreme-low-light-shot-main-camera.jpg 1360w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Extreme low light shot from main camera</figcaption></figure>

<p>While the standard model also benefits from Realme&#8217;s HYPERIMAGE+ image processing, it packs a smaller IMX882 main sensor (1/1.95&#8243;) which is paired with a basic 2MP monochrome lens. The selfie camera also has a lower 16MP resolution.</p>

<h2>Pricing and availability:</h2>

<p>The Realme 14 Pro+ starts at ₹29,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant, while the 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB options are priced at ₹31,999 and ₹34,999, respectively. <p>The camera system includes a total of three sensors on the back &#8211; 50MP Sony IMX896 main + 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto with 3x magnification + 8MP ultrawide (16mm). For those curious, the main sensor measures 1/1.56&#8243; in size. On the front, there is a 32MP shooter.</p>

<p>This camera system is powered by Realme&#8217;s HYPERIMAGE+ imaging system. The 3x telephoto is holding up quite well up to 30x, which is impressive.</p>

The battery has an energy density of 804Wh/L, which is what enables the phone to be only 7.99mm thick despite packing a large capacity.</p>

<p>All of it is protected inside an IP68 + IP69 body, meaning it’s safe from accidental dips in fresh water—and even a hot water jet, in case you feel like testing its limits. The phone comes with Android 15-based <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/09/23/realme-android-15-update-release-date-eligible-devices-and-new-features/">realme UI 6.0</a> out of the box and has a visual feature similar to Apple&#8217;s Dynamic Island.</p>

<h2>Price and availability:</h2>

<p>The phone is available in two color options—Grey and White—and is currently on sale through the company&#8217;s official website in its home country. The 12GB+256GB and 12GB + 512GB versions are priced at 2599 Yuan (~Rs. 30,400) and 2,799 Yuan (~Rs. 32,800) respectively.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/12/24/realme-14-pro-series-confirmed-to-launch-in-january-with-color-changing-rear-panel/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Realme 14 Pro series was just teased</a> earlier this week that revealed its color changing panel. Now, the company has officially shared more details regarding the upcoming lineup&#8217;s display and another variant with a different back panel. So let&#8217;s check it out.</p>

<h2>Realme 14 Pro goes premium with suede leather</h2>

<p>The Chinese tech giant is set to unveil the Realme 14 Pro and Realme 14 Pro+ in January 2025. We already know one variant of the series will feature a temperature sensitive color changing design, which will have it shift from pearl white to vibrant blue when the temperature falls below 16 degrees Celsius. But another version has been confirmed to offer a gray vegan suede leather that brings a more premium feel.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="592" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Realme-14-Pro-Series-Teaser-1024x592.png?x44794" alt="Realme 14 Pro Series Teaser" class="wp-image-666424" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Realme-14-Pro-Series-Teaser-1024x592.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Realme-14-Pro-Series-Teaser-300x173.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Realme-14-Pro-Series-Teaser-768x444.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Realme-14-Pro-Series-Teaser-696x402.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Realme-14-Pro-Series-Teaser-1068x617.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Realme-14-Pro-Series-Teaser-727x420.png 727w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Realme-14-Pro-Series-Teaser.png 1402w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Realme 14 Pro teased with Suede Leather</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Realme confirmed that the new devices will measure just 7.5mm thick, making them ultra slim as well. This Suede Gray version will offer a textured finish and support IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for protection against dust, water, and high pressure liquids and steam. That&#8217;s not all, the teaser showcases the display on the front of the Realme 14 Pro series. While the exact size has yet to be revealed, it will sport a 1.5K AMOLED display with curved edges and 3,840Hz PWM dimming. </p>

<p>Based on what we know so far, the Realme 14 Pro+ may be equipped with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/07/16/snapdragon-7s-gen-3-geekbench/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC</a>. On the rear, it may feature a triple camera setup with a 50MP Main + 50MP periscope telephoto shooter + 8MP Ultra Wide Angle lens. A massive 6,000mAh battery pack could power this device, with support for 80W wired fast charging. We can expect AI powered features and more from these models, so stick around for more updates.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/realme/">Realme</a> has officially announced the launch of its highly anticipated Realme 14 Pro series, set to debut in January 2025. The mid-range smartphone lineup is expected to bring cutting-edge features, including a revolutionary cold-sensitive color-changing rear panel, making it a standout in its segment.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="734" height="771" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-24-221654.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-665956" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-24-221654.png 734w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-24-221654-286x300.png 286w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-24-221654-696x731.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Screenshot-2024-12-24-221654-400x420.png 400w" sizes="(max-width: 734px) 100vw, 734px" /></figure>

<h2>The rear panel can change its color</h2>

<p>The series will reportedly feature two models: the Realme 14 Pro and Realme 14 Pro Plus. The highlight is the advanced rear panel, which changes color when exposed to temperatures below 16 degrees Celsius. Unlike the UV-sensitive color-changing feature seen in the Realme 9 Pro Plus, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-14-pro-plus-5g/">Realme 14 Pro Plus</a> uses cold-sensitive technology, developed in collaboration with Valeur Designers.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-video"><video controls src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Realme-14-Pro-design.mp4"></video></figure>

<p>The phone’s rear panel transitions from pearl white to bright blue, utilizing real seashell pearl powder and micro-capsules containing special pigments. Each device has a unique pattern, thanks to the variation in powder mixing.</p>

<p>However, this feature has a limitation; prolonged exposure to sunlight reduces its effectiveness over time, with the effect predicted to last up to 12 months under normal use.</p>

<p>The Realme 14 Pro Plus also boasts a bezel-less quad-curved display, offering an immersive visual experience. At the back, it features a centrally positioned circular camera module with three LED flashes, branded as “MagicGlow,” designed to enhance low-light photography. Additionally, the phone is water-resistant, with IP68 and IP69 certifications, and even supports underwater photography using the volume button as a shutter.</p>

<h2>What else to expect?</h2>

<p>Under the hood, the Realme 14 Pro Plus is powered by the latest Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset (<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/07/16/snapdragon-7s-gen-3-geekbench/">Geekbench performance test</a>), built on TSMC’s 4nm process. This chip delivers a 40% boost in GPU and 20% in CPU performance compared to its predecessor, alongside a 30% improvement in AI capabilities and enhanced power efficiency.</p>

<p>The phone is expected to feature a 1.5K quad-curved display with ultra-thin 1.6mm bezels. Its camera setup includes a 50 MP + 8 MP + 50 MP configuration, with one of the 50 MP lenses being a Sony IMX 882 periscope telephoto sensor that supports 3x zoom.</p>

<p>Realme is rumored to equip the device with 80W fast charging and possibly a silicon-carbon battery, potentially offering a capacity of 6,000 mAh or more. While official pricing remains unknown, the Realme 14 Pro Plus is expected to start around IDR 6 million in Indonesia, similar to its predecessor.</p>

<p>The Realme 14 Pro series promises a blend of innovation and premium features, setting a new benchmark for mid-range smartphones.</p>

<p>Realme has collaborated with renowned Nordic industrial design studio Valeur Designers to develop the 14 Pro series&#8217; design, which features the world&#8217;s first cold-sensitive color-changing technology. It debuts industry-first advanced thermochromic pigments that react to temperature fluctuations. Below 16°C, the back cover shifts from pearl white to vibrant blue, reversing as temperatures rise.</p>

<p>On the front, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-14-pro-plus-5g/">Realme 14 Pro+ 5G</a> is equipped with a quad-curved AMOLED screen that promises a 93 percent screen-to-body ratio thanks to 1.6mm slim bezels. The overall thickness of the device is only 8mm. The company asserts that the 30-step &#8220;fusion fiber&#8221; process gives each Pearl White unit of the 14 Pro series&#8217; back panel a unique look.</p>

<p>Speaking of the camera module design, which the company dubs as “Ocean Oculus” triple camera offers the industry’s first “Magic Glow” triple flash, which includes three dual-color temperature LEDs, for natural portrait shots in low-light conditions. When it comes to durability, the device will come with an IP69 rating and TUV Rheinland certification.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/realme">Realme</a> will be launching the Realme 14x 5G on December 18 in India. At the same time, the brand is reportedly working on the Realme 14 Pro series of smartphones for multiple markets, including China. Recently, a Realme 14 Pro series phone was spotted on the 3C certification platform in China. Now, the alleged Realme 14 Pro has emerged in 3C’s database, revealing its fast charging capabilities. The 3C approval of the Realme 14 Pro and 14 Pro+ suggests that both phones may debut in China by the end of this month or by early January.</p>

<h3><strong>Realme 14 Pro+ 3C certified</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="255" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Realme-14-Pro-3C-certification-1024x255.jpg?x44794" alt="Realme 14 Pro+ 3C certification" class="wp-image-664395" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Realme-14-Pro-3C-certification-1024x255.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Realme-14-Pro-3C-certification-300x75.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Realme-14-Pro-3C-certification-768x192.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Realme-14-Pro-3C-certification-696x174.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Realme-14-Pro-3C-certification-1068x266.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Realme-14-Pro-3C-certification.jpg 1227w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Realme 14 Pro+ 3C certification</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The above screenshot reveals that an upcoming Realme phone for the Chinese market with model number RMX5050 has been approved by the 3C certification platform in China. The phone has been spotted with an 80W fast charger, suggesting that it could be the Realme 14 Pro+.</p>

<p>While the Chinese variant has the RMX5050 model number, it appears that its global version has the RMX5051 model number. It appears the Realme RMX5055 model, which was recently <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/12/06/realme-14-pro-spotted-on-3c-and-camera-fv-5-database-ahead-of-launch-camera-information-revealed/">certified by the 3C authority</a>, could be the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-14-pro/">Realme 14 Pro</a>. The certification revealed that the device will support 45W fast charging.</p>

<p>Realme has <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/12/09/realme-14-pro-teased-india/">already confirmed</a> that the Realme 14 Pro+ will feature the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-7s-gen-3">Snapdragon 7s Gen 3</a> chipset and a 3x periscope telephoto camera. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, reveals that its rear camera setup will feature a 50-megapixel primary camera with a 1/1.56-inch camera sensor size, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a Sony IMX882 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Other sources have claimed that it will have an LYT-701 primary camera and an IMX355 ultra-wide snapper. For selfies, it may feature a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.</p>

<p>The tipster further revealed that the OLED panel of the Realme 14 Pro+ will have a quad-curved design with equal-sized bezels and a short-focus in-screen fingerprint sensor. The leak also states that the device will continue to feature a plastic middle frame. Unfortunately, the leak has no information about the battery size and configurations of the 14 Pro+.</p>
