While their official monikers remain under wraps, these models are being dubbed the Redmi K100 and K100 Pro. Today, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station published a Weibo post to share key details of what appears to be the Pro model.

Redmi K100 Pro key details tipped

According to the leak, the Redmi K100 Pro will feature a large display with support for an ultra-high refresh rate. Based on previous reports, it could arrive with a 6.9-inch OLED panel offering a 1.5K resolution and a 185Hz refresh rate.

The leak further claims that this Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered phone may pack a 200-megapixel large-sensor primary camera, paired with a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera designed for long-range zoom photography. In terms of multimedia, the handset is tipped to offer flagship-grade stereo speakers, symmetrical dual-speaker tuning, and a large vibration motor for enhanced haptics.

The K100 Pro is said to house a battery in the 9,000mAh class. It may support 100W wired charging as well as full-speed wireless charging. Other expected features include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, top-tier water resistance, and a design said to draw inspiration from Apple’s aesthetic. The tipster suggests that the device could offer nearly every premium feature expected from a next-generation flagship smartphone.

Earlier this week, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station shared a few key details about what appears to be a Redmi K100 Pro-series phone.

Redmi K100 Pro series phone’s key details tipped

According to DCS, a next-generation Redmi sub-series smartphone, believed to be a Redmi K100 Pro-series device, is currently being evaluated with a large 6.9-inch display and an unusually high 185Hz refresh rate. The engineering prototype reportedly features a flat 2D display with large, rounded corners, along with a horizontally arranged camera module that has a metal-like finish.

DCS also claims that the device will retain some of the series’ signature design elements while offering a large X-axis linear motor and symmetrical dual stereo speakers, which are expected to remain key strengths for multimedia and gaming experiences.

In the comments section, the tipster suggested that the phone’s battery capacity is targeted at around 9,000mAh, indicating a substantial upgrade over the K90 Pro Max, which packs a 7,560mAh battery.

While the previous generation included the K90 Pro Max, a recent report suggested that the company may not launch the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6-powered Redmi K100 Pro Max in September. Therefore, the device mentioned in this leak is being referred to as the Redmi K100 Pro or another Pro-series model.

The device is also said to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and support 100W fast charging. Other expected features include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, wireless charging support, and an IP68/IP69-rated dust and water-resistant body.

Yesterday, DCS revealed details about the standard Redmi K100, claiming that it has a 6.59-inch screen, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, and a battery with around 8,000mAh capacity and 100W charging support. It is also said to have other specs, such as a 200-megapixel main camera, a telephoto lens, symmetrical dual speakers, an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, and an IP68/69-rated dust- and water-resistant body.

In today’s leak, the tipster revealed the existence of another Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered Redmi K100 series phone. The engineering prototype of this device is currently said to pack a battery rated at around 9,000mAh, although the company is reportedly testing even higher-capacity solutions in the lab.

The phone is also tipped to support 100W wired fast charging alongside wireless charging support. Considering that this device packs a larger battery than the Redmi K100, this leak could be referring to the Redmi K100 Pro.

The tipster has not revealed the display size of the alleged K100 Pro. Considering that it packs a larger battery, it may feature a bigger display than the K100.

Rumors surrounding the Redmi K100 Pro Max suggest that it will feature the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip along with 16GB of LPDDR6 RAM and 1TB of storage. The device is also expected to feature a 200-megapixel main camera backed by a 1/1.28-inch sensor and a 50-megapixel mid-range periscope telephoto lens.

Redmi K100 Pro Max may receive a major camera boost

The above leak by tipster Smart Pikachu reveals that another sub-brand lineup is aiming higher and may adopt 200-megapixel and periscope cameras. The hashtag used in the leak suggests that it pertains to the Redmi K100 series.

The Redmi K100 series is initially expected to include two models, the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max, as successors to last year’s Redmi K90 Pro and Redmi K90 Pro Max. To recall, the Pro edition features a 50-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 50-megapixel (telephoto) triple camera unit, whereas the Pro Max has a 50-megapixel (main) + 50-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 50-megapixel (periscope telephoto) triple camera setup.

If a 200-megapixel camera is to arrive on the Redmi K100 series, the Pro Max model is likely to be the ideal candidate to receive it. It is still unclear whether the Pro Max edition will feature a 200-megapixel primary camera or a periscope telephoto camera.

Poco F8 Ultra rebranding

Just as the Redmi K90 Pro Max was rebranded as the Poco F8 Ultra globally, the Poco F9 Ultra may launch in the global market as a renamed version of the K100 Pro Max. Therefore, it is likely that the F9 Ultra could be the first Poco phone to feature a 200-megapixel camera. The Poco F9 series is likley to debut in the first quarter of 2027.
