Xiaomi is rolling out the stable MIUI 14 update for two of its popular Redmi devices, the Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 11 SE, in China. The new software update is based on Android 13 and offers several new features and optimizations, enhancing the overall user experience.

The latest update includes the upgraded Xiaomi Miaoxiang Center, which offers a comprehensive speed increase and the ability to connect more devices. The new family service has also been upgraded to share various services, including the newly added family photo album, family screen saver, and video or touch screen speakers. The family service now supports up to eight family members, and roles such as children and guardians can be assigned.

The new update also features a newly upgraded personality vision, with changeable icons, capsule widgets, changeable folders, and pet ornaments. The update offers end-side privacy capabilities, ensuring that all local processing data cloud is covered in more than 30 scenarios. The new photon engine architecture accelerates both system applications and third-party applications, providing a smooth and power-saving experience.

In addition, the update includes device-side privacy capability, full local processing, and data cloud coverage in more than 30 scenes. The update also features end-to-side picture text recognition, which accurately extracts text with support for eight language recognitions.

Xiaomi has also made significant improvements to interconnection, including headphone streaming, collaborative input, and interconnection buses, which comprehensively improve the speed of interconnection discovery, connection, and transmission. The latest update features more efficient and clearer system settings that keep search records, and search results are displayed in groups.

The new MIUI 14 update also offers more efficient and smarter features like the upgraded Xiao Ai Classmate, which consists of a series of intelligent products such as Xiao Ai Voice, Xiao Ai Vision, Xiao Ai Translator, and Xiao Ai Call. Xiao Ai Voice is an intelligent voice assistant that can handle all kinds of daily things, while Xiao Ai Vision can intelligently recognize various document forms, and Xiao Ai Translator offers voice camera intelligent translation, supporting multiple languages. Finally, Xiao Ai Call is an intelligent call assistant, that offers incoming call anti-spam and anti-harassment features.

Overall, the MIUI 14 update for Redmi Note 10 and Note 11 SE in China includes a plethora of new features and optimizations, enhancing the overall user experience. The update is available for download through Settings > About Phone > System and Update > MIUI Version> Download & Install.

Last week, Redmi launched the Note 11 SE smartphone in India. The device is set to go on sale today starting at 12 noon via the e-commerce platform Flipkart. So, let’s check out the pricing, offers, and other details.

The Redmi Note 11 SE has a price tag of Rs 13,999 for the 6GB + 64GB configuration. It can be purchased off of Flipkart starting at 12 noon today. It is available in four color options – Thunder Purple, Cosmic White, Space Black, and Bifrost Blue.

Coming to launch offers, the brand will provide an instant discount of Rs 500 on all prepaid transactions. ICICI Bank users can also avail Rs 1,250 discount using their debit or credit card for the purchase.

Redmi Note 11 SE specs & features

The Note 11 SE features a 6.43-inch AMOLED display offering Full HD+ resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and 1100 nits of peak brightness.

The device has a MediaTek Helio G95 chipset under the hood paired with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. A 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a second 2-megapixel depth camera make up the smartphone’s quad camera arrangement on the back. A 13-megapixel selfie camera is located on the front.

The device operates on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 and comes with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 22W fast charging. Other features include, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IR blaster, 3.5mm headphone jack, and an AI face unlock feature.

Xiaomi has launched a new smartphone from its popular Redmi sub brand in India. The new model in question is the Redmi Note 11 SE, which has just been announced. So let’s have a look at its specs, pricing, and more.

For those unaware, the device was already available in China. Now, it was released in the Indian market and it sports a 6.43 inch AMOLED display that has a Full HD+ resolution and 1100 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, the Note 11 SE is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G95 SoC that is paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

On the rear, the smartphone feature a quad camera setup, which consists of a 64 megapixel primary sensor, an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle lens, a 2 megapixel macro shooter, and another 2 megapixel depth camera. Meanwhile, the front houses a 13 megapixel selfie shooter. The Note 11 SE runs on the Android 11 OS based MIUI 12.5 out of the box and is powered by a large 5,000mAh battery pack that supports 33W fast charging as well.

Other features includes, a side mounted fingerprint scanner, IR blaster, 3.5mm headphone jack, and an AI face unlock feature. The smartphone from the Chinese tech giant will be available in four color options, namely Thunder Purple, Cosmic White, Space Black, and Bifrost Blue. The smartphone starts from 13,499 INR for its sole 6GB + 64GB variant, with the first sale starting on 31st August 2022.

Redmi Note 11 SE may ship without a charger in India

Xiaomi will debut the Redmi Note 11 SE in India tomorrow (August 26). Ahead of that, the company has already revealed almost everything about this handset, except for its pricing. The details were disclosed on the firm’s official website. Apparently, the listing of the phone also reveals an interesting tidbit.

The official listing of the yet-to-release Redmi Note 11 SE on Mi.com hints that the smartphone may ship without a charger (via MySmartPrice). There’s no mention of ‘Adpater’ in the ‘Package Contents’ section.

As of now, It’s not known whether this is a typo or actual fact. The company hasn’t teased it either. However, we cannot rule out the possibility.

If this is true, then the Redmi Note 11 SE will be the first budget smartphone from Xiaomi to ship without a charger. Currently, the Realme Narzo 50A Prime and select Samsung budget smartphones are the only ones that come with no charger in the box in this price segment.

Talking about the Redmi Note 11 SE, it is nothing but a rebranded Redmi Note 10S from last year. Xiaomi has made no changes to the device. It will even arrive in the same color options but the names could be different.

What’s worse is that despite launching in the second half of 2022, the phone will ship with Android 11-based MIUI 12.5. The original model currently runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12. We are baffled why Xiaomi has decided not to include the new software.

Redmi Note 11 SE launched: A Redmi Note 10 5G redux without macro camera

Yesterday, Redmi debuted the Redmi Note 11T series in China. At the event, the company also introduced the Redmi Buds 4 series and Redmibook Pro 2022 Ryzen Edition. The Xiaomi Band 7 was also announced at this conference.

The aforementioned products had already been confirmed before yesterday’s event. But what wasn’t revealed prior to the conference was the Redmi Note 11 SE. Though the phone sounds new, it is nothing but a Redmi Note 10 5G redux.

The Redmi Note 10 5G was announced in the first half of 2021. The smartphone also goes by the name of Redmi Note 10T 5G and Poco M3 Pro 5G with a tweaked exterior look.

A year after its debut, Redmi has once again released this handset under a new name — Redmi Note 11 SE. However, unlike the previous three variants, this one doesn’t feature the third 2MP macro camera on the rear. Further, its design is near-identical to the Poco M3 Pro 5G instead of the Redmi Note 10 5G.

The phone arrives in two memory configurations, such as 4GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB. They are priced at ¥1,099 ($165) and ¥1,399 ($210) respectively, The device can be availed in either Shadow Black or Deep Sea Blue color options.

The handset is up for pre-order and will be available for purchase starting May 31. For a limited time, as part of the 618 promotions, the base model will cost only ¥999 ($150).

Though the pricing sounds cheap, it actually isn’t. The original Redmi Note 10 5G was also introduced at the same price and it was also available at ¥999 for a limited time.
