Samsung Galaxy Book2 Go Wi-Fi/5G Spotted on the FCC

Samsung is reportedly working on a bunch of new Galaxy Book devices. Recently, the Galaxy Book 2 Go Wi-Fi and Galaxy Book 2 Go 5G appeared on the Bluetooth SIG database, and their support pages went live on the brand’s official website. Now, the two Samsung laptops have been spotted on the US FCC certification website, which reveals their key specifications. Here are the details.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website reveals that the Samsung Galaxy Book2 Go Wi-Fi and Galaxy Book2 Go 5G have the codenames “Hermes 14” (WiFi) and “Hermes 14” (5G), respectively. This hints that the devices will feature a 14-inch display.

Further, the listing suggests the cellular variant will arrive in Silver and Light Grey hues whereas the Wi-Fi model will only be available in the Light Grey shade. They are listed to support 45W charging. In addition, FCC confirms the Galaxy Book 2 Go Wi-Fi will measure 224mm x 15mm x 324mm.

As mentioned, the notebooks were previously spotted on the Bluetooth SIG website, which confirmed the Samsung Galaxy Book2 Go (model number NP340XNA) and Book2 Go 5G (NP345XNA) will come with Bluetooth v5.2. They will likely run Windows 11 out of the box. Rumors suggest the Galaxy Book2 Go series will carry support for Qualcomm FastConnect 6700 as well as Wi-Fi 6E.

The support pages for the two Samsung devices also went live on the brand’s UK support website, hinting at an imminent launch. Details about the laptops are still pretty short. Samsung, back in June 2021, launched the Samsung Galaxy Book Go and Galaxy Book Go 5G notebooks. Now, the company seems to be working on the successor of the Book Go series. According to the latest reports, Samsung Galaxy Book2 Go and Samsung Galaxy Book2 Go 5G are revealed on the Bluetooth Special Interest Group certification website.

Samsung Galaxy Book2 Go series devices will be powered by Qualcomm

The processor was the most important feature of the Samsung Galaxy Book models introduced last year. The South Korean tech giant preferred to use Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 instead of Intel or AMD processors in their computers. Unfortunately, the devices weren’t powerful enough to rival Apple’s MacBooks. However, it was an important step forward.

Similar to last year’s the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Book2 Go series will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The upcoming devices appeared on the Bluetooth SIG database with the NP340XNA and NP345XNA model numbers. The listing reveals the support for Bluetooth 5.2, Windows 11, and Qualcomm FastConnect 6700, which will bring Wi-Fi 6E support. As of now, not much is known about the Galaxy Book2 Go series notebooks. However, we can expect to learn more about these devices in the coming weeks.

The Galaxy Book Go features a 14-inch TFT display with a Full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The 4G variant of the Galaxy Book features the 8nm Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 that tags along with Adreno 618 graphics. It comes with 6 GB / 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The Galaxy Book Go offers eUFS storage choices such as 64 GB and 128 GB.

The Galaxy Book Go runs on Windows 10 Home/Pro and is flanked by Dolby Atmos-powered 2 x 1.5W stereo speakers. It promises up to 18 hours of battery life through its 42.3Whr battery, which supports 25W rapid charging. The Galaxy Book Go offers features such as an HD camera, a microSD card slot, a nano-SIM slot, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 2 x 2 MIMO, Bluetooth 51, USB 2.0, USB-C, and a 3.5mm headphone/mic combo jack.

Samsung Galaxy Book Go, Galaxy Book2 Pro 360, others launched in India

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Book Go and Galaxy Book2 lineup of laptops in India. The Galaxy Book Go is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7c Gen 1 processor, while the Galaxy Book2 series are powered by 12th Generation Intel Core processors.

The lineup of models released in the sub-continent includes the Galaxy Book Go, Book 2, Book2 360, Book2 Pro, Book2 Pro 360, and Galaxy Book2 Business. This is coming in the wake of the official teaser earlier provided by the company. The models in the Galaxy Book2 lineup are differentiated by their RAM capacity which is between 8GB and 16GB, while the internal storage available in the models swirl around 512GB.

All the models will run Windows 11 OS out of the box, except the Galaxy Book2 Business laptop which comes with Windows 11 Pro. Samsung’s S Pen support is available in the Pro model and most of the models sport a high-capacity battery and fast charging functionality.

As per pricing, the cost of the models in the sub-continent lie between Rs. 38,990 (~$514) for the Galaxy Book Go and Rs. 115,990 (~$1,529) for the Galaxy Book2 Pro 360. As form March 18, interested customers could pre-book the model of their choice via Samsung.com and Amazon India.

Last week, we reported that Samsung is gearing up to launch the recently released Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 in India as the device has received an Amazon India landing page. Now, a listing for the Samsung Galaxy Book Go has appeared on Flipkart hinting at an imminent launch.

According to a MySmartPrice report, Samsung has listed the Galaxy Book Go on Flipkart. For those unaware, the Galaxy Book Go first debuted back in July 2021 but never made it to India. The Flipkart listing has also revealed that the device will be available for Pre-Order starting March 18th, so the company will likely be launching the product in the next few days.

Samsung’s student-centric Galaxy Book Go is now available in its home market of South Korea. The Samsung Galaxy Book Go packs a lot of features and educational resources needed by students, in addition to about 18 hours of battery life.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Go was announced two months ago and debuted in the US market last month. The laptop is an ARM-powered PC with a Windows 10 Home operating system out of the box. The Galaxy Book Go is now available across offline and online channels in South Korea for KRW 590,600 ($512), which is significantly higher than the US version, which can also be gotten globally at $350.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Go will only come in one color – silver, and Samsung is offering some incentives to buyers before August 10. The instant giveaways are a pouch and three Disney stickers. South Korean tech powerhouse Samsung is expected to hold the Galaxy Unpacked event on April 28 which is just days away. One of the products the tech giant is expected to unveil is the Galaxy Book Go. Now, expected specs of the entry-level notebook have appeared online ahead of the launch.

The details shared by WinFuture.de shows that the Galaxy Book Go will be the first ARM notebook to run on the Windows 10 operating system and offers several excellent features for its price. The laptop is said to adopt a retail price of around 449 Euros ($542) in Europe. The notebook will hit the US market for a starting price of $349 which should be for the non-LTE model.

Specs-wise, the Samsung Galaxy Book Go will feature a 14-inch HD display on an LCD screen. The laptop is LTE-enabled and weighs just 1.39kg. There are speculations that the LTE-capable version of the laptop will only be available in Germany, although no definitive statement has come out from Samsung in that regard. If the LTE version is specifically for the German market, then there would be other variants available to other markets.

The LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy Book Go has an LTE modem, USB multi ports with support for USB 2.0, Type-C, and USB 3.2, and Bluetooth 5.1 compatibility. The charging of the notebook’s battery is via the USB Type-C port, indicating fast charging capability, and the battery can last up to 18 hours on a full charge. The massive battery power of the notebook will surely endear it to a broad segment of the market, as its performance is far beyond the average.

Other expected features of the Galaxy Book Go include a fingerprint reader for customized unlocking of the laptop, a 720p camera, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal memory which can be expanded to 1TB via a microSD card slot. The small size of the RAM and the fact that it cannot be extended may be a drawback of the Galaxy Book Go, although the present 4GB RAM is a bit decent for many applications. The processor is the ARM-based Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c, with eight computing cores and an integrated LTE modem.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Go can be used as a portable business companion that could be used while on the move without the fear of unavailability of electricity supply. The LTE-enabled version is expected to go on sale in Germany.

Samsung has scheduled a launch event named Galaxy Unpacked on 28th April where the company is expected to unveil new laptop devices under the Galaxy lineup as the South Korean giant has teased the launch of the “most powerful Galaxy.”

While the company has not revealed what device it plans to launch, it is believed that Samsung will be launching the Galaxy Book Go along with the Galaxy Book Pro and the Galaxy Book Pro 360.

Now, the support pages for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Book Go have gone online on the company’s official website in the UK and Ireland. This confirms that the device could get launched pretty soon.

The device was first confirmed in the month of February and is said to be powered by the new Qualcomm 8CX processor and run the Windows 10 operating system. It is said to come with a model number NP345XLA according to the data from Wi-Fi Alliance and FCC certifications. The support pages are for the model NP345XLAA-EXP which is expected to be one of the variants of the laptop with different RAM/storage/color options or made for a particular region.

So far, the leaked support pages have not revealed anything related to the device’s specifications. Earlier, a leak from @_h0x0d_ had revealed that the device will feature a 14-inch display with Full HD resolution and it will come with two options for processors to choose from, Qualcomm 7CX and Qualcomm 8CX. It is expected to come with 4GB and 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB and 256GB UFS storage.
