Samsung Electronics has added a new 37-inch model to its ViewFinity S8 (S80UD) lineup, sitting between the existing 32-inch and 43-inch versions. The monitor is built for work environments, giving users more space, better readability, and improved comfort during long hours.

The 37-inch ViewFinity S8 has a 16:9 aspect ratio with UHD resolution. Compared to the 32-inch version, the extra five inches give more room to work while keeping details sharp. Text is easier to read, making documents clearer and reducing strain. The larger display also makes it better for sharing content in meetings or working with teammates on the same screen.

Samsung has designed the monitor with user comfort in mind. It is TÜV Rheinland-certified as an Ergonomic Workspace Display, which means it helps reduce eye fatigue during tasks like text editing and documentation. The Intelligent Eye Care feature is also TÜV-certified and includes eye saver mode and flicker-free technology to cut down on blue light and strain.

For creative work like video editing, the 37-inch display offers both precision and space. Users can view subtle details more easily and keep multiple windows, folders, or video sources open side by side, which makes editing and organizing smoother.

The monitor supports multitasking with a built-in KVM switch, picture-by-picture (PBP), and picture-in-picture (PIP). Users can connect two devices and control them with one keyboard and mouse, display separate inputs at once, or overlay one screen on another. It also comes with a USB-C port that supports 90W charging, data transfer, and a built-in LAN port for Ethernet connectivity.

Setup is simple with the Easy Setup Stand that locks in place without tools in about 10 seconds. The ergonomic stand allows height adjustment, tilt, and swivel so users can set the best angle.

Samsung also announced the 37-inch Odyssey G7 (G75F) gaming monitor at Gamescom 2025. It features a 1000R curved 4K UHD display, a 165Hz refresh rate, and 1ms (GTG) response time for smooth, immersive gameplay.

Samsung Electronics unveiled a bunch of cutting edge gaming monitors and monitors during the CES 2025 event earlier this month. These included the new Odyssey OLED and 3D gaming monitors. Now, these have officially been launched in the global market with pre-orders kicking off in select countries today (24th March 2025), so here’s everything you need to know.

Odyssey 3D

The South Korean tech giant is expanding its monitor lineup with new 2025 models with the first on the list being the Odyssey 3D (G90XF). It is a 27-inch monitor with a unique feature that allows it to offer a 3D experience without requiring glasses. The monitor uses advanced eye tracking tech and a lenticular lens that simulates the 3D image experience. So the gaming monitor can offer a more immersive experience while gaming or watching videos.

To showcase this tech, Samsung is even collaborating with Nexon’s The First Berserker: Khazan, Neowiz’s Lies of P and its upcoming Overture DLC. The monitor uses AI video conversion, offers 4K resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, FreeSync, and G-Sync support as well.

Odyssey OLED G8

The 2025 Odyssey lineup also includes a refreshed Odyssey OLED G8 model. The G81SF arrives in either a 27-inch or 32-inch variant, which offers 4K resolution along with a 240Hz refresh rate. Both sizes use a QD-OLED panel that is also VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 certified.

The panel also has UL certified Glare Free tech for reduced reflections and Samsung’s OLED Safeguard+ that includes a Dynamic Cooling system with a Pulsating Heat Pipe for improved heat dissipation. Other notable features include 0.03ms response time, a 240Hz refresh rate, FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync support. The Odyssey OLED G8 features a slim metal design with Core Lighting+ and an ergonomic stand for an easy setup.

Odyssey G9

The Odyssey G9 (G91F) was unveiled with a tall 49-inch ultrawide monitor that offers a Dual QHD display with a 1000R curve. Along with the wide view and high resolution, the Odyssey G9 has a 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro as well. You also get VES DisplayHDR 600 and HDR10+ Gaming as well. With such a large screen real estate, Samsung offers great multitasking with Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture modes.

ViewFinity S8

Last but not least, we have the Samsung ViewFinity S8 (S80UD), which is the only non-gaming monitor on this list. It is a monitor built for professionals that sports a tall 37-inch monitor with 4K resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, HDR10 and 1 billion colors for creative professionals. There is also a TÜV Rheinland certification for eye protection and comfort as well. Other notable features include a 90W USB-C port, KVM switch, and more.

Samsung has just released the new ViewFinity S8 series of monitors in India. The lineup consists of the S80UD and S80D models for two different size variants. The monitors were first announced in the Chinese market and now dropped in India with a starting price tag of around 320 US Dollars.

Samsung ViewFinity S8 Monitors Specs

The South Korean tech giant unveiled the ViewFinity S8 in two size options, namely 27-inch and 32-inch. Both of these variants offer 4K UHD resolution along with HDR10 support, an IPS LCD panel, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 350 nits. The screens on these monitors are also certified by TUV for intelligent eye care. Samsung’s latest monitors feature an ergonomic design that are capable of pivoting the screen to 90 degrees.

Connectivity options include a whole USB hub (HDMI, DP, USB-A, and USB-B ports) along with an easy adjustable height adjustable stand. The S0UD model launched with the KVM switch that let’s you choose between two different input devices. It also has a USB-C port that lets you charge devices with up to 90W power. The installation process for the monitors is quite simple and straightforward, requiring no additional tools.

Pricing and Availability

Samsung has announced the ViewFinity S8 with a starting price tag of 26,799 INR (roughly 320 US Dollars). On the other hand, the taller 32-inch variant costs 31,599 INR (roughly 378 US Dollars). The brand’s two new are currently available for purchase via the official Samsung India website.

Earlier today (20th June 2022), Samsung Electronics announced a new products that targets creative professionals. It is a new model from the company’s ViewFinity series of monitors and is dubbed the ViewFinity S8.

The new monitor is the latest entry in the 2022 lineup of ViewInfinity and carries the model number S80PB. As per official notes, the new professional monitor comes with features that are geared towards users in the creative fields. Furthermore, the South Korean tech giant has launched this monitor in two size models, namely a 32 inch and a 27 inch variant. Notably, the new ViewFinity S8 features UHD resolution and also features a 98 percent wide color gamut and VESA DisplayHDR 600 for better range and color accuracy.

It even arrives with PANTONE certification as well for the display. Another notable aspect regarding the display is that is the world’s first UL verified Glare Free monitor. Interestingly, Samsung also made the new monitor with materials that were repurposed from waste plastics found in the ocean to help the marine ecosystem and to reduce its environmental footprint.

Since its a professional grade monitor, it houses an all in one dock for desktops or laptops for simplified workstations. Additionally, users can also connect the monitor with a single USB Type C cable that supports 10Gbps data transfers, fast internet speeds through an Ethernet connection and fast charging with up to 90W power as well.
