<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-362954 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Saaf310a0-c66f-434e-8428-a2fb2c60fbcb.jpg?x10805" alt="Honor" width="600" height="600" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Saaf310a0-c66f-434e-8428-a2fb2c60fbcb.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Saaf310a0-c66f-434e-8428-a2fb2c60fbcb-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Saaf310a0-c66f-434e-8428-a2fb2c60fbcb-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Saaf310a0-c66f-434e-8428-a2fb2c60fbcb-420x420.jpg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></p>
<p>The newest iteration in the Honor Smart Screen X1 TV lineup features a 75 inch display. As per the Chinese tech giant, the new TV is &#8220;bigger&#8221;, &#8220;more beautiful&#8221; and &#8220;smarter.&#8221; In other words, we can expect a refresh in its internals along with improvements to its display, apart from just a larger sized display. Notably, the launch of this new 75 inch Smart Screen X1 TV is also imminent, as reservations have already begun on certain Chinese online retail websites.</p>
<h6 class="related"><strong>Editor&#8217;s Pick: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/30/some-airpods-max-users-complain-of-water-build-up-inside-the-ear-cups-after-prolonged-usage/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Some AirPods Max users complain of water build up inside the ear cups after prolonged usage</a></strong></h6>
<p>Earlier this year, the company had launched <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/18/honor-x1-smart-tv-series-launched-in-three-sizes-with-4k-resolution/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">three variants within the Smart Screen X1 series</a>. This included the 50 inch, 55 inch, and a 65 inch variant. So, the latest addition is the largest in the lineup and would also be the most expensive as well. The launch from Honor also arrives after its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/11/17/huawei-sells-honor-subsidiary-to-zhixin-new-information-technology-co-ltd/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">separation from its previous parent company Huawei</a> and is a part of its efforts to capture the large screen market, as per a <a href="https://news.mydrivers.com/1/732/732460.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>MyDrivers</em> </a>report.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class=" wp-image-362955 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/d1b75859-aad2-4d65-b73f-c1e17dae3404-e1609407582736.jpg?x10805" alt="Honor" width="437" height="493" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/d1b75859-aad2-4d65-b73f-c1e17dae3404-e1609407582736.jpg 574w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/d1b75859-aad2-4d65-b73f-c1e17dae3404-e1609407582736-266x300.jpg 266w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/d1b75859-aad2-4d65-b73f-c1e17dae3404-e1609407582736-372x420.jpg 372w" sizes="(max-width: 437px) 100vw, 437px" /></p>
<p>According to AVC, the TV market is expected to grow in 2021 as well, especially in segments of 65 inch and 75 inch sized displays. Both segments are expected to grow by 2.6 percent and 1.8 percent respectively. In other words, the market is seeing a positive trend at the moment, so we can expect competition to be stiff in the arriving year and Honor would likely try to expand its presence in the market as well.</p>

The company is reviving itself in and out in the runup to a fresh start from next year. As a head start, it has teased the launch of a new Smart Screen TV on Weibo today.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/honor">Honor</a>&#8216;s new post on Weibo includes a teaser video. As the video begins, we see deserted streets, and isolated people pretty much explaining what 2020 has showered on us. Next, it slowly transitions into an online-mode of communication showing how the new norm is going to be. In the post, Honor clearly mentions that life has to move forward in 2021 and says a new <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/smart-screen">Smart Screen</a> is coming.</p>
<p>And if the teaser is any indication, it could be anytime soon as the year begins in a day or two. Generally, brands tend to begin the promotions just a few weeks before the actual launch. With rumors of it launching the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/honor-v40">Honor V40</a> around mid-January floating around, don&#8217;t be surprised if the Smart Screen TV accompanies it.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-362774" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/honor-smart-screen-tv-teased.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="676" height="712" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/honor-smart-screen-tv-teased.jpg 676w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/honor-smart-screen-tv-teased-285x300.jpg 285w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/honor-smart-screen-tv-teased-399x420.jpg 399w" sizes="(max-width: 676px) 100vw, 676px" /></p>
<h6 class="related" style="text-align: center"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000">EDITOR&#8217;S PICK</span>: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/22/honor-100-milion-smartphones-2021/">Honor plans producing 100 million smartphone units in 2021</a></strong></h6>
<p>Honor stepped into the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/08/07/honor-smart-screen-tv-reservations/">world of Smart TVs </a>with the Smart Screen and Smart Screen Pro in August 2019. Apart from sharing specs like 55-inch size, 4K resolution, 85% NTSC color gamut, the TVs were the first to Commercially run Huawei&#8217;s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/08/09/10-things-you-should-know-about-huaweis-harmonyos/">HarmonyOS</a>.</p>
<p>Later, in May this year, it <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/18/honor-x1-smart-tv-series-launched-in-three-sizes-with-4k-resolution/">brought the X1 Smart TV</a> lineup which, despite having watered-down specs, offered different sizes and features of a typical Smart TV. If the teaser is anything to go by, we can expect a nifty little addition of pop-up selfie cameras on the new TVs.</p>
<p>Hoping that we didn&#8217;t catch you off guard, if you recall, it&#8217;s ex-Parent brand Huawei recently <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/21/huawei-smart-screen-s-and-smart-screen-s-pro-launched/">brought the Huawei Smart Screen S, S Pro</a>. Naming aside, the TVs have a pop-up AI selfie camera with support for 1080p video calls. It also has other features like smart TV-smart TV &amp; smart TV-smartphone call support, smooth transition for conference calls, and support for Children&#8217;s Watch calls.</p>
<p>And the upcoming Honor Smart Screen TV might have a similar Selfie Camera for conference and video calling. That said, this is just a guess from our side and hence, let&#8217;s wait for official news. Meanwhile, the company has already confirmed that it will <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/22/honor-mall-will-launch-in-january-2021/">launch an independent Honor Mall</a> for its own products in January 2021.</p>
