<p>A new study by Hosting Advice sheds light on how <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/artificial-intelligence">artificial intelligence</a> (AI) is impacting the lives of Gen Alpha children, the generation born between 2010 and 2025. The survey polled parents of children aged 7-14 to understand their experiences with their kids&#8217; AI usage and its perceived influence on development.</p>

<h3>Nearly half of all surveyed parents reported their Gen Alpha children already knee-deep in AI tools</h3>

<p>The findings reveal that nearly half (49%) of surveyed parents report their Gen Alpha children already utilize AI tools. Interestingly, a gender gap appears in AI adoption, with 54% of parents stating their sons use these tools compared to 45% for girls.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Chatgpt-1024x683.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-615524" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Chatgpt-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Chatgpt-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Chatgpt-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Chatgpt-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Chatgpt-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Chatgpt-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Chatgpt-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Chatgpt-1920x1280.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Chatgpt-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>FILE PHOTO: OpenAI and ChatGPT logos are seen in this illustration taken, February 3, 2023. <p>As Gen Alpha children enter their teenage years (13-14),&nbsp;AI usage seems to rise significantly,&nbsp;with 60% of parents reporting such use.&nbsp;The survey also explores how AI factors into homework completion.&nbsp;While 20% of parents indicated their children use AI for homework assistance,&nbsp;40% expressed opposition to this practice,&nbsp;citing concerns about potential cheating.</p>

<p>Despite these concerns,&nbsp;a majority (54%) of parents surveyed support their children&#8217;s use of AI tools.&nbsp; They perceive these tools as beneficial for personalized education (30%),&nbsp;social skills development (18%),&nbsp;fostering creativity (29%),&nbsp;and preparing children for the future (21%).&nbsp;Notably,&nbsp;the survey also identified a gender gap in parental support,&nbsp;with fathers surveyed displaying a higher level of support for AI tool usage (66%) compared to mothers (47%).</p>

<p>You may use <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/siri">Siri </a>for scheduling and <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/alexa">Alexa </a>for your playlist, but have you considered using an <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/ai">AI</a>-powered personal trainer for your daily workout? A recent study dives into an exciting possibility: <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/artificial-intelligence">artificial intelligence</a> might be reshaping the fitness industry. Ongoing advancements in AI are transforming various sectors—from healthcare to arts—and now it&#8217;s happening to fitness. </p>

<h2>More and more people are transitioning to AI-based fitness</h2>

<p>According to a study using AI tools from <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/midjourney">Midjourney </a>and <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/chatgpt">ChatGPT</a>, fitness enthusiasts are increasingly open to incorporating AI into their workout routines. The study engaged 1,000 fitness enthusiasts and introduced them to the concept of AI-Assisted Training. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive: 83% found AI-Assisted Training of high quality. They particularly appreciated the originality and the diversity of fitness classes and plans offered.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/ChatGPT-stock-photo-11-1536w-864h.jpg-3-1024x576.webp?x44794" alt="ChatGPT" class="wp-image-552701" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/ChatGPT-stock-photo-11-1536w-864h.jpg-3-1024x576.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/ChatGPT-stock-photo-11-1536w-864h.jpg-3-300x169.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/ChatGPT-stock-photo-11-1536w-864h.jpg-3-768x432.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/ChatGPT-stock-photo-11-1536w-864h.jpg-3-696x392.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/ChatGPT-stock-photo-11-1536w-864h.jpg-3-1068x601.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/ChatGPT-stock-photo-11-1536w-864h.jpg-3-747x420.webp 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/ChatGPT-stock-photo-11-1536w-864h.jpg-3.webp 1536w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Interestingly, when it comes to class preferences, 45% were most inclined to attend AIronclad, a strength training program. IntelliYoga attracted 36%, and 35% preferred AI Velocity, a cycling workout. On average, fitness enthusiasts were willing to pay around $50 per month for a membership.</p>

<p>The survey reveals that 78% of fitness enthusiasts value personalization as the best feature of an AI-powered fitness program. Efficiency and cost-effectiveness were also significant factors. But it&#8217;s not all smooth sailing—concerns were raised about potential technical glitches (77%) and lack of human connection (65%).</p>

<p>Trust seems to hinge on brand recognition. More than 60% said they would trust the technology more if it was developed by a well-established fitness brand. <a href="http://gizmochina.com/category/apple">Apple</a>&#8216;s upcoming health coach feature, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/04/26/apple-watch-ai-coach-2024/">Quartz</a>, was the most trusted, followed closely by <a href="http://gizmochina.com/category/google">Google </a>and <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/nike">Nike</a>. Remarkably, 12% of those surveyed have already used ChatGPT to generate workout programs. Even more noteworthy—12% of these reported achieving new personal records from the AI-guided workouts. Nearly 4 in 10 respondents are willing to cancel their existing gym membership in favor of an AI fitness subscription.</p>

<p>We can already tell the future impact of AI on the fitness industry will be fascinating to observe. With nearly 4 in 10 people ready to abandon traditional gyms for AI-powered fitness, this transformation is not a matter of if but when. </p>

<p><em>For reference, the study surveyed 1,000 American fitness enthusiasts with an average age of 40, including 46% male, 52% female, and 2% non-binary participants.</em></p>

<p>In a recent survey conducted by <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/github">GitHub</a>, the leading online code hosting platform, the influence of <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/artificial-intelligence">artificial intelligence</a> (AI) on developers&#8217; work was analyzed. This study targeted American companies with over 1,000 employees, surveying 500 enterprise developers. The results, published by IT Home News on June 15th, highlight the significant role AI tools play in the programming community. The survey findings showed that an overwhelming 92% of programmers are actively utilizing various AI tools in their day-to-day tasks. Furthermore, a staggering 70% of respondents expressed that the integration of AI tools has notably enhanced their work efficiency.</p>

<h3>AI boosts developer productivity, efficiency and a reduced number of errors </h3>

<p>Programmers who participated in the survey praised AI tools for their ability to improve code quality, expedite output processes, and reduce the occurrence of production-level incidents. These advancements highlight the indispensability of AI programming tools in modern business IT operations.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/nubelson-fernandes-gTs2w7bu3Qo-unsplash-scaled-e1686797611195.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/nubelson-fernandes-gTs2w7bu3Qo-unsplash-1024x683.jpg?x44794" alt="Developer" class="wp-image-544523" /></a></figure></div>

<p>Inbal Shani, the Chief Product Officer at GitHub, underscored the importance of empowering developers and increasing their productivity. Shani stated, &#8220;The way to innovate at scale is by increasing developer productivity, increasing their satisfaction, and empowering them to be their best every day.&#8221;</p>

<p>GitHub&#8217;s survey sheds light on the evolving landscape of software development, where AI tools have become an integral component. <p><a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/android">Android</a> vs <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/ios">iOS</a> has constantly been a constant topic of discussion among smartphone users. When it comes to smartphone brand loyalty, Apple reigns supreme with its unwavering fan base in North America. While the general public may lean towards Android, <a href="http://gizmochina.com/category/ios">Apple</a> holds the title for being the top smartphone brand. AddictiveTips recently conducted a survey to uncover the extent of Americans&#8217; loyalty towards their smartphone brands. The survey delved into the demographics of users, how it influences their work life, and how receptive they are to the idea of switching to a different brand. Over 1,000 Americans participated in the survey, with half identifying as Android users and the other half as iPhone users. The findings are quite intriguing.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="581" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/iphone-14-pro-1024x581-1.jpg?x44794" alt="Apple" class="wp-image-523936" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/iphone-14-pro-1024x581-1.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/iphone-14-pro-1024x581-1-300x170.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/iphone-14-pro-1024x581-1-768x436.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/iphone-14-pro-1024x581-1-696x395.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/iphone-14-pro-1024x581-1-740x420.jpg 740w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The study reveals that iPhone users (94%) are more loyal to their brand compared to Android users (80%). Interestingly, managers are 33% more likely to be iPhone users, with 63% of them feeling more at ease working with colleagues who use the same brand. Additionally, the researchers discovered that iPhone users spend over 15 more days each year staring at their smartphone screens compared to Android users. Furthermore, 60% of iPhone users claimed that they would consider switching to Android if <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/twitter">Twitter</a> were removed from the App Store.</p>

<p>What&#8217;s fascinating is that iPhone users were found to be 18% more loyal to their brand than Android users. Not only that, 72% of iPhone users reported being happy with their current phone compared to 66% of Android users. AddictiveTips speculates that this could be due to Apple&#8217;s suite of devices designed to work seamlessly together. Finally, the report concludes with a surprising (and unusual) finding: over 80% of both iPhone and Android users stated that they would likely purchase a smartphone from <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/elon-musk">Elon Musk</a>.</p>

However, following backlash from OnePlus&#8217; userbase, this<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/03/01/oxygenos-coloros-independent-no-unified-os/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> move was called off</a>. And now, the brand has rolled out a new survey, which seeks to improve the OxygenOS experience.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-395601 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Poll-OxygenOS-or-ColorOS.jpg?x44794" alt="OnePlus" width="719" height="490" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Poll-OxygenOS-or-ColorOS.jpg 719w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Poll-OxygenOS-or-ColorOS-300x204.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Poll-OxygenOS-or-ColorOS-218x150.jpg 218w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Poll-OxygenOS-or-ColorOS-696x474.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Poll-OxygenOS-or-ColorOS-616x420.jpg 616w" sizes="(max-width: 719px) 100vw, 719px" /></p>
<p>Looking at the <a href="https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/survey-time-oxygenos-user-experience-survey.1587283/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">survey</a>, the Chinese brand is clearly stating that the OxygenOS 13 will be a collaboration between the OnePlus community and Google. The survey asks certain questions like the worst and best features one has experienced and even wants you to rank the factors that affect their experience with an OS. This includes factors like multicultural inclusiveness, intuitive operation, feature rich, close to native, and more.</p>
<p>As per official notes, the feedback taken by the company will apparently help improve the OxygenOS platform. The brand is likely placing a key focus on user experience this time around, especially after its last iteration (OxygenOS 12) that had delivered one of the most bug ridden experience out of any OxygenSO build so far. Interestingly, Oppo has also recently announced a survey of its own for its ColorOS platform as well. Oddly enough, it features the same carbon copy questions of the OnePlus survey.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-463079 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Screenshot-2022-05-30-165923.png?x44794" alt="OnePlus" width="757" height="688" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Screenshot-2022-05-30-165923.png 757w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Screenshot-2022-05-30-165923-300x273.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Screenshot-2022-05-30-165923-696x633.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Screenshot-2022-05-30-165923-462x420.png 462w" sizes="(max-width: 757px) 100vw, 757px" /></p>
<p>In other words, it is also seeking to improve its ColorOS experience for its userbase. But while OnePlus is calling it the OxygenOS User Experience Survey, Oppo calls it the 2022 ColorOS Fans Test. It seems that both brands are racing ahead to both offer a unique and solid software experience as well as distance themselves from one another.</p>

<p>The study titled &#8220;Smartphones and their impact on human relationships 2020’ arrives as the second edition of the report this year. It takes a look at the impacts of the pandemic and even highlights the growing dependency of users&#8217; to their smartphones this year, as per an <a href="https://indianexpress.com/article/technology/tech-news-technology/smartphone-usage-2020-increase-mental-health-worry-vivo-study-7103348/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>IndianExpress</em> </a>report. <p>According to an <a href="https://9to5mac.com/2020/12/09/apple-surveys-iphone-users-on-face-id-opinions-usb-cable-in-the-box/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>9To5Mac</em> </a>report, a recent survey from the Cupertino based giant asked users questions regarding various different aspects of their iPhones. One regarding the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/touch-id/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Touch ID</a> had asked users if they were satisfied with Face ID, and if the person chose no, they would be met with these questions for further elaboration:</p>
<ul>
<li>Security or privacy concerns</li>
<li>I don&#8217;t like having to pick up my phone to use Face ID</li>
<li>Slow performance</li>
<li>It does not detect my face in all situations (such as low light, different angles, lying down, wearing sunglasses)</li>
<li>I prefer Touch ID</li>
<li>Not reliable; does not always unlock the iPhone</li>
<li>Other</li>
<li>Not sure</li>
</ul>

<p>This Apple survey also went on to ask customers what items they used from the box of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/iphone-12/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">iPhone 12</a>. This included a USB cable, the SIM ejection tool, and even the Apple sticker. Previously, the company had also released a similar survey earlier this year, which asked users if they used the power adapter and earphones that it offered in the box. The data from that survey is what led to Apple removing the charger and EarPods from within the iPhone 12 box.</p>

<p>At the moment, it is uncertain what the company plans for its future iPhones. But considering these questions, we might see Apple removing even more items from the box and bring back the Touch ID along with its existing Face ID biometric security system for iPhones. Since its removal the feature has been highly requested from its userbase, especially after the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/coronavirus/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">coronavirus</a> pandemic that has prompted people to wear masks, which hinders facial recognition technology.</p>

<h3>Screen Resolution</h3>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/?attachment_id=210431" rel="attachment wp-att-210431"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-210431" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/Android-Survey-Screen-Resolution.jpg?x44794" alt="Android Survey Screen Resolution" width="690" height="483" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/Android-Survey-Screen-Resolution.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/Android-Survey-Screen-Resolution-300x210.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/Android-Survey-Screen-Resolution-255x180.jpg 255w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>
<p>The above image shows nearly 25 percent of users make use of smartphones that support Full HD (1080 x 1920) resolution. Around 17 percent users are using smartphones with tall aspect ratio of 18:9 and Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. Nearly 16 percent of users have switched to notched display smartphones that support FHD+ resolution 2248 x 1080 pixels and 2280 x 1080 pixels. Still, a vast majority of users across the world are using Android phones with display resolution lower than HD resolution.</p>
<h3>Screen Size</h3>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/?attachment_id=210430" rel="attachment wp-att-210430"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-210430" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/Android-Survey-Screen-Size.jpg?x44794" alt="Android Survey Screen Size" width="690" height="483" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/Android-Survey-Screen-Size.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/Android-Survey-Screen-Size-300x210.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/Android-Survey-Screen-Size-255x180.jpg 255w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>
