Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro discounted by up to $45 for Chinese New Year

The Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro were launched in China in August of 2022. They were announced alongside the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2.

The earbuds made their global debut half a year later at MWC 2023. Almost one and a half years after their launch, the wireless buds are available at a hefty discounted price in China right now.

Ahead of the Chinese New Year, Xiaomi has slashed the price of its flagship TWS in its home country. The accessory was originally priced at ¥1,099 (~$155). But now, it can be availed at just ¥779 (~$110).

It is worth noting that for the last few months, the product has been sold at ¥999 (~$140). So the new offer brings down its price by ¥320 ($45).

However, there’s a caveat. Anyone can get the ¥300 (~$40) discount coupon. But for the additional ¥20 (~$5) discount coupon, the cart value must be above ¥400 (~$55).

Even without the additional discount, the deal is still a good one for the features offered by the product. The offer is valid from January 12 to February 17.

The Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro house 11mm drivers. They connect via Bluetooth 5.3 and support quick pairing with Xiaomi smartphones and tablets.

The buds are Hi-Res Audio Wireless-certified. They also support Sony LDAC high-bitrate audio codec.

Just like any other premium wireless earbuds, the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro also arrive with ANC (active noise cancellation) and transparency modes. They are claimed to reduced external noise up to 48dB.

The buds offer touch gesture controls and can be connected to two devices at the same time. They are IP54-rated for splash resistance and their audio profiles can be customized through a companion app.

Last but not least, the earbuds with a head tracking-based 3D sound feature.

Back in August 2022, Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro in China. The brand took some time but it finally unveiled the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro on the global stage at MWC 2023. Although the earbuds haven’t made it to market shelves yet, and the brand has also not announced when we can expect them to be available, the earbuds have now appeared on certification websites hinting that it could happen sooner rather than later.

The Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro has been spotted on Bluetooth SIG with the model number M2126E1. It reveals that the device uses Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity. The listing does not disclose any other features, however, we already know all there is to know about these upcoming earbuds as Xiaomi has officially disclosed all the details.

Xiaomi recently debuted the Xiaomi 13 series smartphones for the global market. The announcement took place at Mobile World Congress 2023, where the brand also unveiled the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro for the international market. Xiaomi today held a launch event where a number of products were announced, the top of which is the Mix Fold 2. The company also announced a new generation of flagship TWS earphones – Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro.

The Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro adopts a space capsule design, which is more rounded than the previous generation. The headphone handle is brightly treated, and it is available in two color options – gold and black, of which the gold color option gives a noble and elegant feeling.

The earbuds are fixed to the charging case by magnetic absorption, so there is no need to worry about accidental falling. At the same time, after opening the cover, the earphones are exposed as a whole, which is easy to take.

Perhaps, the most outstanding feature of the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro is that it supports adaptive dynamic noise reduction, with a noise reduction depth of 48dB and a noise reduction width of up to 4000Hz. Xiaomi MIX Fold 2, Pad 5 Pro 12.4 tablet, Buds 4 Pro TWS earbuds set to launch on August 11

On Aug. 11, Xiaomi CEO and founder, Lei Jun will hold his annual speech to share the company’s trends. Today, the company confirmed that it will announce multiple products such as the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 foldable phone, the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4, and the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro TWS earbuds at the same event. These products will be announced at 7 pm (local time) on the said date. There is a possibility that the company may also announce its first electric vehicle on the same platform.

Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 specifications (rumored)

The Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 is expected to arrive with a 6.5-inch Samsung AMOLED E5 cover display with a 21:9 aspect ratio, 2520 x 1080 pixels resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the inside, the device will be equipped with a foldable Eco² AMOLED 8-inch display with LTPO technology. Both displays are said to support a 120hz refresh rate.

The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 is likely to power the MIX Fold 2. Speculations are rife that the Xiaomi device with a 22061218C model number that was recently certified by TENAA and 3C certification platforms will break cover as the MIX Fold 2. The TENAA listing of the device has only revealed that it will come in variants such as 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 1 TB storage.

The MIX Fold 2’s rear camera setup will have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera with OIS support. It will be assisted by a 13-megapixel OmniVision OV13B ultra-wide snapper, and a telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. The cameras will be accompanied by the Surge C1 image processing chip. The official poster also confirms that the MIX Fold 2 will offer Lecia’s photography optimizations. The 3C certification of the device revealed that it will have support for 67W fast charging.

Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 and Buds 4 Pro

The Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 is likely to be a larger version of the existing Mi Pad 5. Hence, it is expected to feature a 12.4-inch LCD panel and Snapdragon 870. It will probably have a larger battery. The Buds 4 Pro will be Xiaomi’s next premium TWS earbuds. However, there is no information on the specifications and features of the Buds 4 Pro.
