Xiaomi announced its first foldable smartphone named Mi MIX Fold a couple of years back and now the company is working on launching its successor in the market.
Now, a new report coming from Digital Chat Station has revealed some of the key specifications and features of the upcoming Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 smartphone, giving us a hint of what to expect.
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 2, which is codenamed zizhan and carries model number 22061218C, will come with an 8-inch display and a 6.5-inch external screen which should have a bi-direction folding design.
The LTPO display of the smartphone will have support for 2.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The company will also be taking care of the crease and we expect it to not be clearly visible. Under the hood, the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor.
The report claims that the upcoming foldable smartphone will be equipped with a 50-megapixel camera sensor on the outer side which will have Leica branding and support for recording Dolby Vision HDR videos. It is also expected to pack the company’s self-developed imaging chip named Surge C1.
Previously, it was claimed that the smartphone is only slightly thicker than the charging port, which means that the phone is expected to be thinner than the competition. We expect to know more about the foldable phone in the coming weeks.
