Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra was launched back in April bearing a price tag of Rs. 70,000 (about $940). The device has not gone on sale yet but that will soon change. The comany has now commenced registration for the Mi 11 Ultra as it prepares to sell the phone in India for the first time.

The registration process involves buying the Ultra gift card at Rs. 2,000 ($27) with the accompanying f-code that qualifies you to purchase the Mi 11 Ultra during the yet-to-be-announced date of limited sale, with additional free gifts also on offer.

There are two color variants of the Mi 11 Ultra – Ceramic White and Ceramic Black colors. Interested users are encouraged to visit Xiaomi’s website, log in with their Mi ID and follow the procedure to purchase the ultra gift card. After choosing the choice of color of the device needed, the ultra f-code will be sent to the user on the day of the phone sale for you to obtain the phone within 24 hours.

On the day of the sale of the Mi 11 Ultra, any user who completes the purchase using the ultra gift card will get two free screen replacements, Ultra-branded merchandise, Times Prime Annual membership, a Superfan box, and an additional Ultra f-code.

Xiaomi has been silent on the number of the Mi 11 Ultra units available to the Indian market, but the limited gift cards will be dispensed on a first-come-first-served basis. As there is no mention of the sale date yet, interested buyers of the Mi 11 Ultra may have to put their ears on the ground so as not to miss out on the product launch.

Xiaomi is finally releasing the Mi 11 Ultra European version after its initial unveiling in March this year. The Mi 11 Ultra is Xiaomi’s first flagship offering to the international market and customers in Europe may now have a feel of the impressive features of the smartphone in ten days’ time, that is, May 11.

Xiaomi had previously produced the Mi Ultra series for its Chinese market but the Mi 11 Ultra is taking a different path from its predecessor, the Mi 10 Ultra which was a China-only product. Xiaomi’s official Facebook page for its Dutch market has announced that the Mi 11 Ultra will be officially available on May 11. Although none of the other official Xiaomi  European channels have made any announcement relating to the Europe launch, we would expect that if indeed the Dutch launch is slated for May 11, the others would not be far off.

As a reminder, the Mi 11 Ultra features an imposing camera system, reputed to have the largest sensor for a modern smartphone. The phone equally packs an impressive 6.81-inch AMOLED display with a high refresh rate and high resolution, added to a Snapdragon 888 5G chipset which is as powerful as it can get.

The Mi 11 Ultra arrives in two RAM options of 8GB and 12GB in combination with 256GB and 512GB of internal storage. The premium model runs on Android 11-based MIUI 12. Further, the phone gets its power from a 5000mAh battery capable of 67W ultra-fast charging, reverse wireless charging at 10W, and other exciting features. The premium model also comes with dust and water protection with its IP68 rating.

The Mi 11 Ultra had earlier been officially announced with a starting price of €1,199 in Europe.

Chinese phone maker Xiaomi unveiled the Mi 11 Ultra smartphone and one of the features of the flagship is its IP68 water-resistant build. That feature has now been put to test as the phone was unboxed underwater by a diver and this was shared by Xiaomi on Weibo.

The underwater unboxing of the device is a clear reflection of the success accomplished by the tech giant in producing IP68-rated phones capable of operating even in extreme conditions like underwater. Both the Mi 11 Ultra and the Mi 11 Pro are the first set of smartphones with an IP68 waterproof rating for depths up to 1.5 meters, and they are both capable of remaining underwater for up to 30 minutes.

The water-resistant and dust-resistant capabilities of the Mi 11 Ultra are due to its Gorilla Glass front, ceramic back, and aluminum frame that combines to shut out both water and dust from affecting the device.

The Mi 11 Ultra was released in March 2021 and is already on sale for about $1,440. It runs on Android 11, with an Octa-core CPU and memory ratings of 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB of internal memory.

The smartphone is also adorned with a powerful camera module, using a Samsung 1/1.12″ 50MP GN2 sensor for the main camera. In addition, a 48MP 5x periscope camera and a 48MP 12mm ultra-wide camera are also present. The exciting features of the Mi 11 Ultra will provide an instant appeal to its growing clientele, and Xiaomi is expected to reap from a projected surge in demand for waterproof-rated smartphones.

The phone is powered by the premium Snapdragon 888 5G chipset. It packs a 6.81-inch AMOLED display with 1440p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The 5,000mAh capacity battery also provides greater width in operational times before needing a recharge. Fast charging is also possible, with Xiaomi claiming that it is possible to have a full charge within 36 minutes.
