<p>Gaming isn’t an afterthought for the best Android tablets in 2025. Pretty much any tablet on this list can handle your favorite titles without breaking a sweat. That said, it’s still a good idea to shop based on what you actually need, not just what looks the most expensive.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Best-Android-Gaming-Tablets-2025.jpg?x44794" alt="Best Android Gaming Tablets 2025" class="wp-image-690756" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Best-Android-Gaming-Tablets-2025.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Best-Android-Gaming-Tablets-2025-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Best-Android-Gaming-Tablets-2025-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Best-Android-Gaming-Tablets-2025-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Best-Android-Gaming-Tablets-2025-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>If you&#8217;re looking to game on Android and want a screen larger than your smartphone&#8217;s, the market now offers several high-end options. Most are running the latest chipsets, packing in stylus support, and offering displays that try to justify their increasingly steep prices.</p>

<p>Here’s a breakdown of the best Android tablets for gaming in mid-2025—some new, some just updated, and a few that you still can’t buy globally.</p>

<h3><strong>Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Plus</strong></h3>

<p>Samsung&#8217;s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-tab-s10-plus/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Tab S10 Plus</a> is probably the most balanced Android gaming tablet out there. It checks nearly every box without veering into the price territory of ultra-premium devices.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It comes with a 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display that refreshes at 120Hz and has HDR10+ support. It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+, one of the few high-end MediaTek chips finding its way into flagship tablets.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="500" height="500" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-S10-Plus.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Plus" class="wp-image-652939" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-S10-Plus.jpg 500w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-S10-Plus-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-S10-Plus-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-S10-Plus-420x420.jpg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></figure></div>

<p>There&#8217;s no real surprise in the hardware: 12GB RAM, UFS storage, a 10,090mAh battery, and quad speakers tuned by AKG. You also get microSD expansion, a rare find for devices in 2025.&nbsp;</p>

<p>And while the 13MP + 8MP dual camera setup on the back isn’t anything extra, the 12MP selfie camera with 4K video support is good enough for the occasional game stream.</p>

<p>Samsung sells the tablet for ₹90,999, which is above the OnePlus Pad 2 and Xiaomi Pad 7, included in this list.&nbsp;</p>

<h3><strong>Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra</strong></h3>

<p>If price isn’t an issue and you believe bigger is better, you have another option from Samsung. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-tab-s10-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra </a>is a 14.6-inch slate featuring an AMOLED panel and the same Dimensity 9300+ chip under the hood.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="553" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Galaxy-Tab-S10-Ultra-1024x553.webp?x44794" alt="Galaxy-Tab-S10-Ultra" class="wp-image-678540" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Galaxy-Tab-S10-Ultra-1024x553.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Galaxy-Tab-S10-Ultra-300x162.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Galaxy-Tab-S10-Ultra-768x415.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Galaxy-Tab-S10-Ultra-1536x829.webp 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Galaxy-Tab-S10-Ultra-696x376.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Galaxy-Tab-S10-Ultra-1068x577.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Galaxy-Tab-S10-Ultra-778x420.webp 778w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Galaxy-Tab-S10-Ultra.webp 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>It isn’t that different from S10 Plus beyond screen size and memory (up to 16GB with 1TB of storage), and yes, it retains microSD support.</p>

<p>At ₹108,999, it’s Samsung’s most expensive Android slate. You get a slightly better front camera array (dual 12MPs), a bigger 11,200mAh battery, and Wi-Fi 7 support. But unless you’re specifically into cloud gaming or want to multitask with DeX mode, this is mostly for people who prefer oversized screens for everything.</p>

<h3><strong>OnePlus Pad 2</strong></h3>

<p>If the above models are still too high-end for you, the Android ecosystem offers plenty of options for 1/3rd of the price. You sure will miss out on the extra bells and whistles at this price, but not the essentials. One among those options is the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-pad-2/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">OnePlus Pad 2</a>, which starts at Rs 35,999 in India.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="538" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/OnePlus-Pad-2-1024x538.jpg?x44794" alt="OnePlus-Pad-2" class="wp-image-678541" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/OnePlus-Pad-2-1024x538.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/OnePlus-Pad-2-300x158.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/OnePlus-Pad-2-768x403.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/OnePlus-Pad-2-696x365.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/OnePlus-Pad-2-1068x561.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/OnePlus-Pad-2-800x420.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/OnePlus-Pad-2.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>It comes with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a 12.1-inch 144Hz LCD, and six speakers. The panel isn’t OLED, but it does support Dolby Vision and HDR10+.</p>

<p>There’s no cellular option or microSD slot, and stylus support is present but limited in utility for gamers. Still, the 9510mAh battery with 67W fast charging and OxygenOS 15 based on Android 14 gives it a reasonably polished experience.&nbsp;</p>

<h3><strong>Xiaomi Pad 7</strong></h3>

<p>An even cheaper option is the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-pad-7/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi Pad 7</a> at a starting price of Rs 27,999. It uses a mid-range Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip, which is still fast enough for most mobile games.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="596" height="656" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/image-3.png?x44794" alt="Xiaomi Pad 7" class="wp-image-657966" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/image-3.png 596w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/image-3-273x300.png 273w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/image-3-382x420.png 382w" sizes="(max-width: 596px) 100vw, 596px" /></figure></div>

<p>Built around an 11.2-inch LCD screen, it offers a 144Hz refresh rate, supports Dolby Vision and HDR10, and its 344 ppi density should make games look sharp.</p>

<p>It comes pre-installed with HyperOS 2, based on Android 15, with long-term update support (four major Android upgrades). There’s no 3.5mm jack or expandable storage, but at this price, it&#8217;s hard to find a better value for gaming.</p>

<h3><strong>Honorable mentions</strong></h3>

<h4><strong>OnePlus Pad 2 Pro</strong></h4>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oneplus-pad-2-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">OnePlus Pad 2 Pro</a> is a flagship model above the vanilla Pad 2. It’s got a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with dual Oryon cores, a 13.2-inch LCD at 144Hz, and a 12140mAh battery. But it’s only available in China, and even if you could import it, the ColorOS 15 software build might be more limiting than OxygenOS.</p>

<p>Starting at CNY 3,199 (~₹37,900), it technically undercuts the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus while beating it on performance, at least on paper.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/OnePlus-Pad-2-Pro-Design-2.jpg?x44794" alt="OnePlus-Pad-2-Pro-Design-2" class="wp-image-685894" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/OnePlus-Pad-2-Pro-Design-2.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/OnePlus-Pad-2-Pro-Design-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/OnePlus-Pad-2-Pro-Design-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/OnePlus-Pad-2-Pro-Design-2-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/OnePlus-Pad-2-Pro-Design-2-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<h4><strong>Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra</strong></h4>

<p>Another China-only release in this list is the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-pad-7-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra</a>. It’s powered by Xiaomi’s custom Xring O1 chip with a 10-core CPU and has a 14-inch AMOLED panel with 1600 nits peak brightness and an Immortalis-G925 GPU, making it the most hardware-packed tablet Xiaomi has released.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-1-1024x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra" class="wp-image-687813" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-1-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-1-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-1-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-1-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-1-696x696.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-1-1068x1068.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-1-420x420.jpg 420w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-1.jpg 1500w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>It also has eight speakers, 120W charging, a 50MP camera, and 1TB storage with UFS 4.1 support. It’s priced at 5,699 yuan (~₹67,800) for the 12GB + 256GB model. But like the Pad 2 Pro, it’s only being sold in China, and there’s no global release date yet.</p>

<p>The market for large-screen tablets does not change all that quickly. We only see a new entrant in this space every few months. Fortunately, Xiaomi recently launched its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/22/xiaomi-pad-7-ultra-is-official-with-a-14-inch-oled-screen-and-custom-xring-o1-chip/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pad 7 Ultra</a> tablet as a new option for those looking for a big, premium Android tablet. </p>

<p>Prior to this, the option was (more or less) limited to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-tab-s10-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra</a>. It had a good head start in setting the bar for a high-end Android tablet. Now that both tablets are side by side, let’s see which one could be a better buy for you.</p>

<h3><strong>Design and Build</strong></h3>

<p>For starters, both tablets are huge. While the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra measures 305.8 x 207.5 x 5.1mm, the Samsung Tab S10 Ultra is even larger at 326.4 x 208.6 x 5.4mm. Neither of these slates is pocketable, rather, they will claim dedicated space in your backpack. </p>

<p>Xiaomi&#8217;s model will still, however, be light to carry. At 609g, the Xiaomi slate is considerably lighter than Samsung&#8217;s offering. It weighs 718g for Wi-Fi or 723g for the 5G model. Xiaomi also trims the waistline slightly, coming in 0.3 mm thinner.</p>

<p>This means the Pad 7 Ultra has a more svelte footprint in theory. But then again, Samsung prioritizes durability over slimness. The Tab S10 Ultra is made of armor aluminum and features IP68 dust and water resistance.</p>

<p>Stylus support is also available at both ends. Xiaomi supports a magnetically-attached pen (sold separately), while Samsung builds more functionality into its S Pen, which features Bluetooth, gyro, accelerometer, and a 2.8ms latency. The S Pen is more capable, but you may only notice that if you do more than jot down notes or doodle.</p>

<h3><strong>Display</strong></h3>

<p>Samsung’s 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel is a little larger than Xiaomi’s 14.0-inch AMOLED, but Xiaomi pulls ahead in resolution. The Pad 7 Ultra delivers 2136 x 3200 pixels, resulting in ~275 ppi, while Samsung’s 1848 x 2960 resolution lands at ~239 ppi.</p>

<p>Xiaomi’s panel is also brighter, peaking at 1600 nits versus Samsung’s unspecified but likely lower figure (given past models and performance). It supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HDR Vivid. The Tab S10 Ultra offers HDR10+, but skips Dolby Vision entirely.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Both offer 120Hz refresh rates, but the Xiaomi panel leans more toward content creators who want pixel density and color fidelity, while Samsung’s is geared toward general use, productivity, and media.</p>

<h3><strong>Performance</strong></h3>

<p>The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra debuts with an Xring O1 chip, a new 3nm processor with a 10-core CPU running at 3.7GHz. It’s paired with the Immortalis-G925 MC16 GPU, and based on specs alone, it&#8217;s pushing toward the top of mobile silicon. Xiaomi’s ambition with this chip is clear: take on both Snapdragon and MediaTek with a custom platform optimized for high-end performance.</p>

<p>Samsung&#8217;s Tab S10 Ultra uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+, a high-end 4nm chip with an octa-core CPU and Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU. It’s capable but slightly behind Xiaomi’s setup on paper, especially with fewer cores and lower top-end clock speed (3.4GHz vs. 3.7GHz).</p>

<p>In actual performance, Xiaomi may edge ahead in multitasking and raw benchmark numbers, but Samsung’s software optimization through One UI may keep things smooth enough that most users won’t notice a difference in day-to-day tasks.</p>

<h3><strong>Cameras</strong></h3>

<p>Xiaomi gives the Pad 7 Ultra a single 50MP main camera, while Samsung opts for a 13MP + 8MP ultrawide setup on the rear. For front cameras, Xiaomi has a 32MP ultrawide, while Samsung uses a 12MP wide + 12MP ultrawide.</p>

<p>Despite Xiaomi’s higher megapixel count, tablet cameras still aren&#8217;t designed for photography. Where it matters most—video calls—both tablets offer 1080p and 4K video support.</p>

<h3><strong>Audio and Connectivity</strong></h3>

<p>Xiaomi goes all-in with eight speakers supporting Hi-Res audio, while Samsung includes four AKG-tuned speakers. Volume and clarity are likely excellent on both, but Xiaomi may have an edge in spatial audio quality.</p>

<p>Xiaomi also supports Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7, slightly ahead of Samsung’s Bluetooth 5.3 and comparable Wi-Fi 7 support. Samsung’s model supports GPS and eSIM (in the cellular variant), which Xiaomi skips entirely; it has no SIM or GPS onboard.</p>

<p>Xiaomi does offer infrared and NFC (data-only), which are rare on tablets. Samsung counters with Samsung DeX and optional 5G, so both offer unique advantages.</p>

<h3><strong>Storage and Battery</strong></h3>

<p>Both tablets come in 256GB/12GB RAM, 512GB/12GB RAM, and 1TB/16GB RAM configurations. Samsung includes a microSD card slot for expandable storage, while Xiaomi does not. That could matter if you’re dealing with large video files or prefer expandable storage.</p>

<p>For battery, Xiaomi leads with a 12000mAh cell supporting 120W wired charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging. Samsung’s 11200mAh battery tops out at 45W charging, which feels slow by comparison. Xiaomi clearly wins in charging speed.</p>

<h3><strong>Final Thoughts</strong></h3>

<p>The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra is newer, thinner, and arguably more powerful on paper. It offers faster charging, a more pixel-dense display, and more speakers. It’s also likely to be cheaper, though Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed global pricing yet.</p>

<p>On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra offers a more polished software experience, better durability, a more advanced stylus, and longer software support.</p>

<p>If you’re looking for a performance-focused tablet with high-end specs and don’t mind potential quirks in software or availability, the Pad 7 Ultra has appeal. If you want a safer, more reliable experience with proven support and features, Samsung still has the edge. Both are “Ultra” in name, but how that translates to day-to-day use depends heavily on what you need.</p>

Arriving as the brand&#8217;s first ever &#8220;Ultra&#8221; tablet model, it carries the expectation of a true flagship experience on a large-screened device. So here&#8217;s how the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra delivers as a premium tablet.</p>

<h3>Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra: Premium Design &amp; Display</h3>

<p>With the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, the Chinese tech giant offers a tablet with a premium build quality and high end display. Despite some beefy specs (like its battery), the tablet measures just 5.1mm in thickness and weighs 609 grams. It arrives with an all-metal unibody design that uses aluminum alloy. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Launches_-Specs-and-Price.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Launches_-Specs-and-Price" class="wp-image-688120" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Launches_-Specs-and-Price.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Launches_-Specs-and-Price-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Launches_-Specs-and-Price-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Launches_-Specs-and-Price-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Launches_-Specs-and-Price-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>Meanwhile, the front sports a tall 14-inch 3.2K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1600 nits of peak brightness, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light and flicker-free experience. It also has nano-soft light screen coating for anti-flare.</p>

<h3>Cutting Edge Hardware</h3>

<p>Just like the Xiaomi 15S Pro, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra also packs the new XRing O1 processor. This is the brand&#8217;s proprietary chipset that offers flagship level performance. The chip is based on TSMC&#8217;s 3nm N3E processes and uses a 10-core architecture (2+4+2+2 clusters). This chip is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-1-1024x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra" class="wp-image-687813" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-1-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-1-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-1-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-1-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-1-696x696.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-1-1068x1068.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-1-420x420.jpg 420w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-1.jpg 1500w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>In other words, Xiaomi did not cut any corners in performance with this model. For audio, you get an eight speaker setup that supports Dolby Atmos. Other notable features include WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, IR Blaster, and Android 15 OS based HyperOS 2 custom skin out of the box. The latest software means that you also get the newest AI features and tools for generating text, summarizing content, editing images, transcribing voice, and much more.</p>

<h3>Camera</h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Design-and-Display.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-688117" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Design-and-Display.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Design-and-Display-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Design-and-Display-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Design-and-Display-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Design-and-Display-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><figcaption>Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Tablets aren&#8217;t known for their great photography potential, but Xiaomi has packed some decent image sensors that should perform well (at least on paper). The rear has the 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor that can record at up to 4K@60fps, while the front has a 32MP OmniVision OV32D shooter for selfies and video calls (1080p@60fps). The front camera is also housed in a bar notch.</p>

<h3>Massive Battery &amp; Fast Charging</h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Teaser-Side-1024x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra" class="wp-image-687814" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Teaser-Side-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Teaser-Side-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Teaser-Side-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Teaser-Side-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Teaser-Side-696x696.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Teaser-Side-1068x1068.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Teaser-Side-420x420.jpg 420w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Teaser-Side.jpg 1500w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>One of the advantages of the additional size is the battery pack, and the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra doesn&#8217;t disappoint with a huge 12,000mAh cell. It even supports 120W wired fast charging over the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port. So there isn&#8217;t a lot of down time when charging.</p>

<h3>Verdict</h3>

<p>Based on all of these specs and features, it is clear that Xiaomi did not compromise on any aspect of the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra. While high end tablets can offer high resolution displays, they might use an LCD panel over an OLED. Tablet makers also choose to use last gen flagship chips over the latest versions to save costs. But for 5,699 Yuan (roughly 760 US Dollars), the Pad 7 Ultra is a proper flagship tablet that is worth its price tag.</p>

<p>Alongside the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/22/xiaomi-15s-pro-launched-china-specs-price/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi 15S Pro</a> smartphone, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi </a>today introduced the Pad 7 Ultra, its largest and most expensive tablet yet. It ships with the same in-house XRING O1 chip as the new phone, along with a 12000mAh battery. Here are the complete details. </p>

<h2><strong>Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra Specifications</strong></h2>

<p>The Pad 7 Ultra runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2 atop Android 15 and comes equipped with a 14-inch OLED panel. The display uses TCL’s M9 luminous material, supports 3.2K resolution in a 3:2 aspect ratio, and offers a 120Hz refresh rate with a global brightness of 900 nits and peak brightness of up to 1600 nits. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Design-and-Display.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-688117" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Design-and-Display.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Design-and-Display-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Design-and-Display-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Design-and-Display-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Design-and-Display-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>Xiaomi is also shipping the Pad 7 Ultra with a nano-soft light screen coating, which has an anti-reflective coating and nano-level etching that claims to eliminate up to 99% of ambient light interference.</p>

<p>Under the hood, the tablet runs on the new in-house XRING O1 chip fabricated on TSMC’s 3nm N3E process. It uses a 10-core architecture broken down into 2+4+2+2 clusters. The fastest core clocks at 3.7GHz.</p>

<p>As for memory, Xiaomi is using LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It’s powered by a 12,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging over a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port.</p>

<p>The Pad 7 Ultra has a minimalist design with a 5.1 mm thick chassis and weighs 609 grams. The bezels are narrow at 3.95mm, and the front-facing 32MP camera supports portrait centering. On the back, there’s a 50MP camera within a matrix-style module.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Launches_-Specs-and-Price.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-688120" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Launches_-Specs-and-Price.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Launches_-Specs-and-Price-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Launches_-Specs-and-Price-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Launches_-Specs-and-Price-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Launches_-Specs-and-Price-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>Audio is handled by eight speakers with four amplifiers and four microphones in a 16.5cc sound chamber. There’s also support for WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and an IR blaster.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As always, users have the option to get a color-matched keyboard with the Pad 7 Ultra. The keys have a 1.3mm key travel distance.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, model 25032RP42C, is poised to be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/">Xiaomi</a>’s premium tablet, launching alongside the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/18/xiaomi-15s-pro-xring-01-geekbench-performance/">Xiaomi 15S Pro</a>. Pad 7 Ultra&#8217;s Geekbench 6 scores of 2,715 (single-core) and 8,849 (multi-core) highlight the prowess of its in-house XRing O1 SoC, built on TSMC’s 3nm process. However, the chip is underclocked compared to the 15S Pro, with two prime cores at 3.70GHz (vs. 3.90GHz) and four cores at 3.04GHz (vs. 3.40GHz), resulting in a 15% performance dip.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="553" height="733" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/xiaomi-pad-7-ultra-gb.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-687750" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/xiaomi-pad-7-ultra-gb.jpg 553w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/xiaomi-pad-7-ultra-gb-226x300.jpg 226w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/xiaomi-pad-7-ultra-gb-317x420.jpg 317w" sizes="(max-width: 553px) 100vw, 553px" /></figure></div>

<p>Despite this, the Pad 7 Ultra trounces the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, which scores 2,192 and 7,327 with its MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ (1x Cortex-X4 at 3.4GHz, 3x Cortex-X4 at 2.85GHz, 4x Cortex-A720 at 2.0GHz). The Xiaomi tablet’s 10-core XRing O1, paired with a Mali-G925-Immortalis GPU, offers roughly 20% better performance, making it a formidable rival.</p>

<p>The Pad 7 Ultra also boasts 16GB RAM, a 14-inch 120Hz OLED display with 3.95mm bezels, and a 12,000mAh battery with 120W charging, weighing 609g at 5.1mm thick. For context, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1-powered Pad 6 Pro&#8217;s 11-inch IPS display has a resolution of 1800 x 2880 pixels and reaches a peak brightness of 550 nits. The more recent Pad 6S Pro 12.4 packs 2032 x 3048 pixels and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.</p>

<p>While the Pad 7 Ultra trails Snapdragon 8 Elite tablets, its efficiency and stylus support position it as a premium contender. Will Xiaomi’s first Ultra tablet redefine the market, or will Samsung’s ecosystem hold sway? The launch will tell.</p>

<p>The company will also unveil the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-pad-7-ultra">Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra</a> flagship tablet on May 22. The device will feature a 14-inch OLED panel equipped with ultra-thin bezels and a notch possibly supporting 3D facial recognition. Apart from featuring the O1 chip, the tablet is expected to support 120W charging.</p>

<h3><strong>Xring O1 chip enters mass production</strong></h3>

<p>According to Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, the Xiaomi O1 has now entered mass production, becoming one of the few 3nm chips in the mobile industry. Built on TSMC’s 3nm process, the O1 chip has been under development for years, with Xiaomi reportedly investing over ¥13 billion (~$1.8 billion) in its R&amp;D.</p>

<p>A recent Geekbench listing revealed that the Xring O1 chip uses a 10-core architecture and includes an Immortalis-G925 GPU, designed to deliver flagship-level performance. Benchmark scores for the O1 reach 3119 (single-core) and 9673 (multi-core) on Geekbench.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> has officially announced its 15th anniversary launch event scheduled for May 22 at 7PM (local time). Shared through multiple official channels including company founder Lei Jun, the event promises a lineup of high-impact products. Here’s a look at what to expect from the upcoming launch event.</p>

<h3><strong>Xiaomi Xring O1, Xiaomi 15s Pro, Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, incoming</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="600" height="800" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/XIaomi-May-22-launch-event.jpg?x44794" alt="XIaomi May 22 launch event" class="wp-image-687357" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/XIaomi-May-22-launch-event.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/XIaomi-May-22-launch-event-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/XIaomi-May-22-launch-event-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /><figcaption>XIaomi May 22 launch event</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The event will see the arrival of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/15/xiaomi-announces-its-first-self-developed-smartphone-chip-xring-01/">Xiaomi’s self-developed mobile chip</a>, the <strong>Xring 01</strong>, a milestone product that signals the company’s re-entry into the mobile SoC space. The chip will debut inside the new <strong>Xiaomi 15S Pro</strong>, a performance-focused flagship phone.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/18/xiaomi-15s-pro-xring-01-geekbench-performance/">Benchmark figures</a> show the chip runs on a 10-core CPU layout (2 x 3.9GHz + 4 x 3.4GHz + 2 x 1.89GHz + 2 x 1.8GHz) and uses the Immortalis-G925 GPU. It scores 3,119 in single-core and 9,673 in multi-core Geekbench tests, placing it alongside Dimensity 9400 and Snapdragon 8 Elite.</p>

<p>Also launching is the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, a 14-inch premium tablet with up to 120W wired charging. It supports a 3.2K resolution display with LTPO tech and advanced multi-window features aimed at professionals. The device could be equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset.</p>

<p>Xiaomi will also unveil Xiaomi YU7, the company’s first SUV. It is expected to feature a Saturn-ring style tail-light and dimensions of 4999mm x 1996mm x 1600mm. It includes high-speed performance and dual-motor options with peak output up to 390 horsepower.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="768" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xring-01-3nm-768x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Xring 01 is built with 3nm process" class="wp-image-687358" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xring-01-3nm-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xring-01-3nm-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xring-01-3nm-696x928.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xring-01-3nm-1068x1424.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xring-01-3nm-315x420.jpg 315w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xring-01-3nm.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /><figcaption>Xring 01 is built with 3nm process</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The main focus of the launch is undoubtedly the Xring 01 chip and the Xiaomi 15S Pro, the first phone powered by it. According to Xiaomi, this chip represents the company&#8217;s renewed ambition in the mobile chip market. Designed specifically for flagship-level smartphones, the development of the Xring 01 began after Xiaomi revived its SoC efforts in 2021.</p>

<p>The chip is part of a larger 10-year strategy, backed by an investment of at least 50 billion Yuan (approximately $6.9 billion). As of April 2025, Xiaomi has already invested over 13.5 billion Yuan (roughly $1.9 billion) into chip research and development. This significant financial commitment highlights Xiaomi’s long-term vision to become a serious player in semiconductor innovation.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a> might be preparing to launch a third tablet in its Pad 7 lineup, but it may not be called the Pad 7 Max after all. A new Bluetooth SIG certification suggests the device could go by a different name. The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, to be specific.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The tablet is listed with the model number 25032RP42C on the Bluetooth SIG database, which is typically one of the final steps before a product’s commercial launch.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="309" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Bluetooth-SIG-certification.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-684882" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Bluetooth-SIG-certification.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Bluetooth-SIG-certification-300x103.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Bluetooth-SIG-certification-768x264.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Xiaomi-Pad-7-Ultra-Bluetooth-SIG-certification-696x239.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>This same model had earlier surfaced on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/03/03/xiaomi-pad-7s-pro-3c-certification/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">China’s 3C certification site</a>, revealing that the device supports 120W fast wired charging.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>What to expect?</strong></h2>

<p>The change in branding from “Max” to “Ultra” doesn’t necessarily mean a shift in strategy, though. From what’s been leaked and speculated so far, this is still expected to be the top-tier model in the Pad 7 family, above both the standard <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-pad-7/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pad 7</a> and the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-pad-7-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Pad 7 Pro</a>.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It will reportedly come with a 14-inch OLED display featuring narrow bezels and a centered hole-punch cutout. Unfortunately, the rest of the specs remain a mystery. </p>

<p>If Xiaomi is following last year’s playbook, the Pad 7 Ultra could build on the Pad 6 Max’s foundation. The model shipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, a 14-inch 2.8K LCD display at 144Hz, HDR10+ support, and a battery north of 10,000mAh.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Pad 6 Max also packs a quad-speaker array, dual rear cameras, and reverse charging support.</p>

<p>None of that is confirmed for the new model, of course. But with certifications stacking up, it likely won’t be long before Xiaomi makes the Pad 7 Ultra official.&nbsp;</p>
