<p>Xiaomi launched the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/09/26/xiaomi-watch-2-pro-launched/">Watch 2 Pro</a> in September last year. The company is reportedly working a new smartwatch. It is tipped to ditch the ‘Pro’ suffix and will be called the Xiaomi Watch 2. Now, Winfuture has shared key information of the brand’s upcoming wearable device. The publication also gives us a look at the Xiaomi Watch 2. </p>

<h2>Xiaomi Watch 2 key details leak</h2>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="660" height="371" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Xiaomi-Watch-2.webp?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-604306" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Xiaomi-Watch-2.webp 660w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Xiaomi-Watch-2-300x169.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 660px) 100vw, 660px" /></figure></div>

<p>As per the report, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/?s=xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> Watch 2 will likely have the same design as the Watch 2 Pro except for one difference &#8211; it will lack a functioning crown on the right side. It will feature the same 1.43-inch circular AMOLED display bearing a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and always-on mode. The screen is surrounded by a large bezel that isn’t visible at first glance due to the glass cover. The smartwatch will be 5ATM water-resistant.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Internally, the Xiaomi Watch 2 is said to be powered by the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 quad-core chipset which is the same as the Pro model. It is touted to deliver a battery life of up to 65 hours. The wearable device will run on Google’s wearOS and could come with pre-installed apps like Google Wallet, Google Maps, Play Store, and more. The Xiaomi Watch 2 will feature Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi, NFC, GPS, and GNSS. There won’t be an LTE-compatible variant of the device.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On the health-centric front, the Xiaomi Watch 2 will come with support for 150 sports modes. It will also be equipped with the usual sensors like a sleep monitor, SpO2 sensor, heart-rate monitor, and step counter. </p>

<p>The report adds that the Xiaomi Watch 2 is already listed at a number of retailers with prices ranging from EUR 199 to EUR 219 depending on the market.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Xiaomi/">Xiaomi</a> smartwatch has been spotted online. The wearable officially goes by Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro.</p>

<p>This is the first time we are hearing the name. But unfortunately, the listing only reveals a couple of things.</p>

<p>Let’s go through everything that’s known about this upcoming product.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Imagemonitor00001-1024x576.jpg?x10805" alt="Xiaomi Mi Watch" class="wp-image-293379" width="1024" height="576" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Imagemonitor00001-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Imagemonitor00001-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Imagemonitor00001-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Imagemonitor00001-696x391.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Imagemonitor00001-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Imagemonitor00001-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Imagemonitor00001.jpg 1778w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Xiaomi Mi Watch (<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/12/05/xiaomi-mi-watch-review-the-phone-on-your-wrist/">Review</a>)</figcaption></figure>

<p>As per <a href="https://xiaomiui.net/xiaomi-watch-2-pro-spotted-on-gsma-imei-database-innovative-features-of-the-new-smart-watch-and-expectations-49080/"><em>Xiaomiui</em></a>, the forthcoming Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro with model number M2233W1 has been listed in the IMEI database. This means it has support for cellular connectivity (eSIM).</p>

<p>Thus, consumers will be able to use the smartwatch even without a smartphone. It should allow data connection and calls.</p>

<p>Looking up the model number, we found that the wearable was <a href="https://www.thegoandroid.com/xiaomi-m2234w1-and-m2233w1-smartwatches-arrive-on-eec/137911/">already</a> <a href="https://www.thegoandroid.com/xiaomi-m2235w1-arrives-on-tdra-while-m2233w1-and-m2234w1-smartwatches-hit-tuv-pls/139446/">spotted</a> earlier this year by GoAndroid. Looks like it will be accompanied by two more smartwatches with model numbers M2234W1 and M2235W1.</p>

<p>Since their model numbers only differ by a single digit, they are most likely part of the same lineup. They could be collectively called Xiaomi Watch 2 series.</p>

<p>Sadly, we don’t have details on the specs of these smartwatches. However, going by a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/03/02/xiaomi-smartwatch-google-wear-os-3/">report from March</a>, these wearables could boot Wear OS.</p>

<p>For the unaware, these won’t be the first Wear OS smartwatches from Xiaomi. Because the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/11/05/xiaomi-mi-watch-launched-wearos-miui-large-battery/">company’s first-ever smartwatch</a> (<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-watch/">Mi Watch</a>) from November 2019 actually used Google’s platform.</p>

<p>These upcoming wearables will probably be positioned as the successors of the Mi Watch. Hence, the use of the marketing name ‘Xiaomi Watch 2.’</p>
