At the Xiaomi 14 Ultra launch event, the company announced several other products. One of them was a wireless charger.
The company’s new wireless charger has a very long name. It is officially called the Xiaomi 80W Lift-type Air-cooled Wireless Charging Set.
The product is priced at ¥499 (~$70). It is a combo set, and thus, the package includes the following items.
- 80W Wireless Charger
- 120W Power Adapter
- 6A USB Type-C Cable
The charger is compatible with all Qi-supported devices. However, higher charging speeds can only be achieved on Xiaomi smartphones.
The newly unveiled Xiaomi 14 Ultra can charge at the maximum speed of 80W. The company claims that the battery of this handset can be filled to 100% in 49 minutes.
On the other hand, iPhones are limited to 7.5W charging. Whereas, Samsung flagships are restricted to 10W charging.
As the name suggests, the charger is a lift-type. In other words, the phones need to be placed vertically.
The charger uses dual coils to achieve higher charging speeds. To keep the thermals in control, there’s a built-in cooling fan, which the company claims to run silently.
This power accessory combo is now up for sale in China across multiple platforms. At present, it is not known if and when this product will be released in global markets.
