The 3C certification is among the certifications obtained before the product’s final release. While the 3C listing did not list the device’s name, it is tipped as a Watch S3 series model. The certification page did reveal the device’s charging rating and other details. According to the details extracted from the 3C website, the new Xiaomi smartwatch has the model number M2312W1 and supports 10W charging.

The Xiaomi Watch S3 already launched with a 1.43-inch AMOLED colorful large screen with a 10Hz refresh rate, 326 PPI, and 600 nits of maximum brightness. It offers 256 automatic brightness levels and comes with the industry’s first variable design. The color and style of the bezel can be removed and replaced when needed. The watch will automatically sense and trigger an exclusive customized dial, offering various style combinations for the watch. The smartwatch is equipped with the Unisoc W117 chip with a built-in LPDDR2, 1.0GHz A7 CPU core with support for complete eSIM/ eSIM independent communication. Users can use the network independently without connecting to a mobile phone.

The Xiaomi Watch S3 runs on the Surge OS with a seamless connection to the Xiaomi smart ecosystem. One major highlight of the smartwatch is the ability to unlock the Xiaomi SU7 Electric Vehicle. With the ability to unlock the SU7, Xiaomi may be looking to expand its ecosystem of connected devices to its new SUV. The Xiaomi Watch S3 is the company’s latest flagship smartwatch. It was announced alongside the Xiaomi 14 series in late October.

A little over three months after its release, the wearable is receiving an important software update. The latest firmware for the accessory brings the most used app in China.

The eSIM variant of Xiaomi Watch S3 is receiving a new firmware update with version number 1.11.11. This update adds WeChat application.

The app supports almost all the commonly used functions. Users can perform voice replies, quick replies, and emoticon replies from their wrists. The app also supports picture messages and other functions.

However, all the aforementioned features only work when the wearable is paired with an Android phone. The WeChat app does not work if the watch is paired with an iPhone.

At launch, the accessory had support for WeChat Pay. This functionality is now built into the WeChat app. Thus, users need to log into their account again to make payments.

The official changelog for the software update also mentions optimizations for some system functions.

The Xiaomi Watch S3 is the company’s first smartwatch with replaceable bezels. It is also the firm’s first wearable to shio with HyperOS software.

Today, Xiaomi unveiled its first electric car called the SUV 7. It comes in Aqua Blue and Verdant Green, and Mineral Grey color options. Alongside, the brand also announced limited edition customized color variants of the Xiaomi 14 flagship smartphones and the Xiaomi Watch S3. The new paintjobs of both devices match the Xiaomi SUV 7.

Xiaomi 14, Watch S3 announced new limited edition colors

The Xiaomi 14 (review) and Xiaomi 14 Pro (review) were both announced in White, Black, and Green color options. To match the color variants of the Xiaomi SUV 7, both flagship smartphones now come in Gulf Blue and Olive Green shades. It’s worth noting that the Olive Green hue has a slightly different shade from the standard Green color option that was announced at the launch. The Xiaomi 14 duo features a Black colored high metal middle frame and a glass back panel.

The limited edition color variants on the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro are only available with the top-end 16GB + 1TB RAM and storage configuration. These carry the same price tag as their standard edition i.e. CNY 4,999 and CNY 5,999 respectively.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Watch S3 limited edition is only offered in the eSIM version. The Gulf Blue color option has a Cyan-colored bezel and a Black strap with a Cyan strip running through the middle. Meanwhile, the Olive Green variant has a strap of the same color and a Black bezel. The Xiaomi Watch S3 limited edition variant is costlier by CNY 100 compared to the standard eSIM version. It is priced at CNY 1,099.

Xiaomi launched the Watch S2 in December last year. The company is reportedly working on its successor which is expected to be called the Watch S3. Xiaomi seems to follow the tradition of launching its flagship smartwatch in the last month of the year as the Watch S1 also debuted in December 2021. Now reliable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed key information of the Xiaomi Watch 3 on the microblogging platform Weibo.

As per Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi Watch S3 will come with a large dial and an OLED display. It is also expected to feature an adaptive refresh rate for maximizing the battery life significantly. The tipster adds that the upcoming smartwatch will also be backed by a 520mAh battery unit which is an increase from the 500mAh cell on the Watch S2.

The Xiaomi Watch S3 will also be the first smartwatch in the company’s portfolio to come with support for 4G LTE connectivity. This will enable native voice calling and feature WeChat support. In terms of health and fitness, the upcoming offering will be equipped with a heart-rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, and support for various sports modes.
