Lately we often hear the news of Xiaomi, that the Chinese smartphone maker has recently recruited former officials Android division at Google, Hugo Barra. In addition to producing affordable smartphone, Xiaomi is also the company behind the MIUI ROM Launcher, which allows Android users to use interface that is simpler and more customizable.
Xiaomi has just announced that they reached the MIUI app store downloads amount of 1 billion times in just over a year (391 days). By comparison, Apple AppStore reach it in 288 days, Google PlayStore (formerly known as the Android Market) takes under 2 years old (exact date is unknown), while Windows Phone Store took 865 days (2 years 4 months 11 days).
MIUI App Store itself contains themes, icon packs apps, wallpapers and so on as a complementary application MIUI itself. The products presented there are free and paid apps.
