Just as promised, Lenovo has officially taken the wraps of the Lenovo K4 Note flagship in India. This is the successor to the popular Lenovo K3 Note mid-ranger that was unveiled last year. The new model comes with a lot of upgrades, in specs and design, making it worthy of the slightly higher price tag of Rs.11,999 ($180).

The Lenovo K4 Note features a 5.5-inch FHD 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection. So, there’s no 2K screen as previously rumored. This translates into a pixel density of 441 ppi with 178 degrees wide angle viewing. Instead of the MT6752 octa-core chip, the company has gone with the newer MT6753 chip from Mediatek clocked at 1.3GHz along with Mali T720 MP3 GPU. Further, you get 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM on board. As for the internal storage, you get 16GB which is further expandable via a MicroSD card slot.

The phone features a slightly curved design with a maximum thickness of 9.1mm. The overall body will be made out of metal and there will be a fingerprint sensor at the back. Also, you will find dual speakers right up front. The overall design seems to be inspired from the previously announced Vibe smartphones.

At the back, the Lenovo K4 Note comes with a 13MP f/2.2 aperture camera with dual LED flash and PDAF. Up front, you will find a 5MP shooter ideal for selfies. Lenovo has also upgraded the battery on the device, to a larger 3300mAh capacity one. This will reportedly be enough for up to 22 hours of talk time in a single charge.
