The Meizu 16X is an upcoming upper mid-range phone scheduled to launch on Wednesday. If you have been wondering what price tag the phone will carry then you are in luck as Meizu’s latest teaser may have revealed it.

The teaser which was released on Weibo confirms the phone will launch on September 19 but also has some very interesting info. Meizu states that back on 21 October 2015, it released the Meizu M1 Metal (Blue Charm Metal) – a phone with a front-mounted fingerprint scanner for about ¥1000 (~$145) and on September 19, 2018, it will release the 16X with an in-display fingerprint scanner for about ¥2000 (~$290).

The Meizu M1 Metal actually launched for ¥1099 (~$160) so there is a chance the Meizu 16X may launch for ¥2099 (~$305). When it launches, it will come with a 6.0-inch AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2160 resolution. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 710 processor and have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

On its back will be dual cameras in a 12MP + 20MP configuration while a 20MP sensor sits in front. The Meizu 16 will also have an in-display fingerprint scanner, a 3,000mAh battery, and run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
