TCL Idol X+, powered by 2GHz octa-core chipset and Bluetooth wristband

One of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer TCL (or also known as Alcatel brand for global market) is launching the new TCL Idol X+Android smartphone.

The Idol X+ is upgrade version from Idol X smartphone, and the new device is carrying the first 2GHz octa-core processor the market today. TCL has using MediaTek MT6592 SoC processor, packs with 5 inch screen size with 1080 pixel resolution, the body has 1.9mm bezel with 7,9mm thickness.

The phone is offers with 1,999 yuan or around $330 USD price tag and comes with Bluetooth wristband to track activity, this accessories is called as Boom Band is essentially a little nugget that sits inside a plastic wristband (available in several colors), and it can double as a proximity alarm in case you accidentally leave your phone behind.

This phone is available starting January 15th, while we writing this news, the phone is only available in Chinese market, there is no word that it’s phone will be available outside in Chinese market yet.
