CyanogenMod 11

The world’s most popular and ever growing custom ROM Cyanogenmod can now be ported to Android One devices. Though Android One offers a pure Android experience, the adaption of CyanogenMod v11 proffers a sharp twist and more customisation analogously  with stock Android.

Developer varun.chitre15, an India-based member of the XDA developer forums,  managed to port a custom recovery to each of the three Android One models, and gain root access to them. Thanks to him for making it possible indeed.

If you  are an owner of Android One device and interested in porting the ROM , these steps has to be followed :

1: You  need to unlock the bootloader and install a custom recovery.

2: Install CM file.

3: Install GAPPS.

4: Reboot.

Since it is still in development stage there may be some bugs, but will be soon patched up with regular updates.
