A leakster by the name @Ricciolo1 has posted on Twitter details about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8.
According to him, Samsung’s new flagship will be privately unveiled at this year’s edition of Mobile World Congress. Then it will be introduced on the 29th of March and a main launch will come almost a month later. The tweet doesn’t end there as he also mentions that the phone will have a starting price of $849.
While @Ricciolo1’s tweet might have dates similar to earlier rumors, we still advise that you take it with a pinch of salt.
Leaks of the Galaxy S8 revealed over the past few months say the new flagship will have thin bezels, a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5, and a Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU. We have also learnt that the front camera will be an 8MP shooter with autofocus and the rear camera will remain a 12MP sensor.
The Galaxy S8 has been rumored to ditch the physical home button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner. The scanner will now be embedded underneath the display. There is also news of a 6.2-inch variant that is expected to be called the Galaxy S8 Plus.
