In the past week, the rumored Galaxy J4 was found mentioned as “j4lte” in the list of supported phones for the beta build of Android 8.0 Oreo for Galaxy Note 8. A mysterious Samsung phone with model number SM-J400F has appeared on Geekbench benchmarking platform. It is speculated that this model number belongs to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy J4.

The Geekbench listing has revealed that the SM-J400F is running on Android 8.0 Oreo and it has 2 GB of RAM. The device is powered by Exynos 7570. It is the very same SoC that lies under the hood of other budget-friendly phones such as Galaxy J3 (2017) and Galaxy Xcover 4.

In the single-core test, the Galaxy J4 has managed to reach a score of 623 whereas it has scored 1815 in multi-core test. These benchmarking scores suggest it will be an entry-level phone that may offer specs that are slightly better than Galaxy J3 (2017).
