Meizu VP Li Nan was recently quoted as disclosing that the tech giant will launch the Meizu X2 and that it would feature a Snapdragon 845 chip onboard. Now, in case you don’t know much about the smartphone, the X2 is supposed to be the successor to the Meizu X which was launched in 2016. Meizu went on a rampage in 2016, releasing quite a lot of smartphone models but slowed down the pace in 2017. Thus, the Meizu X2 which was supposed to have been launched in 2017 wasn’t.Meizu X2

Indeed, the Meizu X2 will be launched sometime this year but it remains to be seen if the device will indeed pack a flagship Snapdragon 845 chip. Li Nan is credited to have hinted of the presence of Qualcomm’s latest processor on the X2 but a Meizu employee has come out to clarify on Weibo that the presence f a flagship chip on the premium midrange model is yet to be finalized. Sure, the Chinese company has such plans but it is just a tentative one which we hope is finalized soon. It is unlikely though that the Meizu X2 will come with a flagship chip.
