Last month, Xioami launched its latest phones in the Indian market — Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro. At the time of launch, the devices were launched in two color variants — Midnight Black and Gold.

Recently, it was revealed that the company could launch a new color option, Lake Blue. As it turns out, the company is introducing two new color variants for both devices — Lake Blue and Rose Gold. These both new color options have been listed on online retailer Flipkart as well as company’s official online store.

Redmi Note 5 Pro Camera Beasst

Further, in a response to a comment on Facebook, the company has promised some surprise in the upcoming sale on 7th March. This hints that the company could start selling all four color models of the phone from 7th March in India.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro went on sale in India for the first time on 22nd February. According to the company, it sold 300,000 units of the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro in under 3 minutes.

While the Redmi Note 5 series is currently available in India only, Xiaomi’s Product Marketing Director Zang Zhiyuan had recently confirmed that the company would be launching the Redmi Note 5 in China in March. It has now been confirmed that the devices will be will be unveiled in China on March 16th.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, which is the successor to the Redmi Note 4 — is priced at Rs 9,999 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant and Rs 11,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB variant. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 5 Pro costs Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB variant and Rs 16,999 for the 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM option.

The Redmi Note 5 is powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 625 processor and features a 12-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.2 aperture along with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The Redmi Note 5 Pro packs Snapdragon 636 processor and features dual camera setup of a 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front side, it features a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 camera sensor.

Both the devices feature the trending full-screen display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The devices are running on the latest MIUI 9, based on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box and are powered by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery.
