HMD Global seems to have slashed the pricing of its Nokia 6 3GB RAM model in India. The phone, which was launched in India in June last year for Rs. 14,999, is now available for purchase at Rs. 13,499 through Amazon India.
The price drop of about Rs. 1,500 on the Nokia 6 3GB RAM model comes after the Finnish company launched its successor — Nokia 6 2018 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last month.
However, at this time, it is not clear whether the price cut is permanent or temporary. The slashed pricing is applicable to the Matte Black as well as Silver color variants. Additionally, Amazon India is also offering exchange discount of up to Rs. 12,111.
To remind you of the specifications, the Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch full-HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor.
The phone comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera sensor and an 8-megapixel front camera sensor, both with f/2.0 aperture lens. It packs 3GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage that is expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. The Nokia 6 was launched with Android Nougat out-of-the-box, but the phone received Android Oreo update earlier this year.
Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Along with a front-facing fingerprint sensor, the device comes with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos audio support and packs a 3000mAh battery.
Last month, HMD Global launched a new variant of the Nokia 6, which packs 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The 4GB RAM model is priced at Rs. 16,999 and is exclusively available through online retailer Flipkart.
Earlier this year, the company launched Nokia 6 2018, which as the name suggests, is the successor of the Nokia 6. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 630 processor and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box.
