Smartisan is already working on its first phone for the year. Details of the phone called the Smartisan T3 have surfaced online courtesy of an industry insider.

According to @Mocha RQ, the Smartisan T3 will have a LCD display and not an OLED one. It will also keep the fingerprint scanner on the back – embedded under the logo like in the Smartisan Nut Pro 2.

Another detail he mentioned is that the phone will come with a notch but a small one and the rear cameras will be arranged horizontally. He added that Smartisan’s CEO Luo Yonghao expressed his displeasure at a large cut-out in the display and vertically arranged dual rear cameras.

The Smartisan T3 is expected to launch on May 15 and is rumored to come with a Snapdragon 845 processor. This shouldn’t come as a surprise as Smartisan has always released phones powered by Snapdragon 800 chipsets with 2017 being the exception.

Nevertheless, we expect the phone will pack interesting features as well as a stunning design. Last year’s Nut Pro 2 was a personal favorite as it had a distinct design that made it stand out from the hundreds of other devices released.
