A few months ago, Panasonic released the P100, an entry-level smartphone for the Indian market. It has been followed by a newer model called the Panasonic P101.

The P101 comes with a 5.45” screen with a 1440 x 720 resolution. This is the first of the P-series with an 18:9 aspect ratio and Panasonic has termed it “Big View”.

It is powered by a MediaTek MT6739 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. It also has support for storage expansion (128GB max.).

It has a single 8MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera with its own flash. There is no fingerprint scanner but it has Bluetooth, WiFi, and an FM radio. It also runs Android 7.1 Nougat and packs a 2,500mAh battery.

The Panasonic P101 has a Rs. 6,999 (~$107) price tag which is slightly higher than the P100 which has a fingerprint scanner. It is available offline at Sangeetha Mobiles and comes with a bunch of data offers for Idea Cellular users.
