Huawei is all set to launch its latest smartphones — Huawei P20 Pro and Huawei P20 Lite in the Indian market today. Now, ahead of the phone’s official launch in India, the pricing of the P20 Lite model has been leaked online.

According to the newly leaked images, which reveals key features of the device, the Huawei P20 Lite will be priced at Rs. 19,999 in the Indian market, which roughly translates to $301 or €245.

If this turns out to be true, then the Indians are getting a much better deal for the P20 Lite. For comparison, the same smartphone has a recommended retail price of €369 in Europe.

Earlier, it was confirmed that the Huawei’s P20 series will be available for purchase in India exclusively through online retailer Amazon India. The eCommerce platform has already started taking registrations for the smartphones from the interested buyers.

Coming to the specifications, the P20 Lite sports a 5.84-inch display with screen resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio with a notch. Under the hood, the device is powered by the company’s own Kirin 659 chipset, coupled with 4GB RAM. While the phone comes in two storage options — 32GB or 64GB, in India, it is expected to come with 64GB internal storage.

For the photography, the smartphone comes with a 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual rear camera setup. On the front side, the Indian variant of the phone comes with a 24-megapixel selfie snapper. The international model comes with a with a 16-megapixel camera sensor on the front. Running on Android Oreo operating system out of the box, the smartphone is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.

It will be interesting to see how the device performs in the Indian market given that it faces competition from the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and the recently launched Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1. Both of them offers good specifications at a competitive price point.
