The Honor 10 launched in China last month, now it has gone global starting with the UK and India. The new Honor flagship arrives in these markets with an attractive price tag and may pose a challenge to other flagships in the market.

Honor 10 UK

The Honor 10 can be referred to as a cheaper alternative to the Huawei P20 but without the Leica cameras. The phone comes with the same Kirin 970 found in the P20, P20 Pro, and Porsche Design Mate RS, so performance is practically the same.

The Honor 10 has a 5.84” IPS LCD FHD+ Full View display with a notch at the top. The UK version has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage

There are dual cameras on the rear – 24MP + 16MP – both with a f/1.8 aperture. The Honor 10 has AI camera features which include scene recognition. So it can recognize if the subject is a pet, building, food, lake, sky, or hill and automatically adjusts the camera to the best settings. Honor says scene recognition for a cloudy day, ancient architecture, bicycles, and pandas will be added later via an update.

The front camera is a 24MP sensor with AI features that adjusts lighting condition automatically. It also has a 3D portrait lighting mode for professional portrait images. There is a fingerprint scanner below the display. Honor says it is an ultrasonic sensor that works even with wet hands. It also has face unlock which is said to be super fast.

The Honor 10 packs a 3400mAh battery with support for Honor Supercharge 5V/4.5A which lets you charge the phone to 50% in just 25 minutes.

The phone runs EMUI 8.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. It has dual SIM support, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Honor 10 Price

The Honor 10 may as well be one of the cheapest flagships money can buy. It will set you back just £399.99 with a free pair of Honor AM61 Bluetooth earphones. You can also get a £30 voucher when you sign up on the HiHonor UK page. It is also available right away on Amazon UK and Carphone Warehouse. It will also be sold by Three UK on a monthly plan starting Thursday, May 17.

The phone comes in Phantom Blue (with the color changing back) and Phantom Gray. A TPU case and a screen protector (already applied) are included in the box.
