After the official announcement on May 31, Xiaomi Mi 8 has finally gone global. After launching in China, the flagship is finally available to purchase in two other countries: France and Russia. The news comes from a Super Moderator who has published a post on the Mi official forum. However, there is no trace of their listing on any of Russian and French online stores, at least not yet. This could mean that it is currently on sale through offline channels or local retailers. So, we do not even know at what price it has been made available.

Currently, the global launch news is yet to be confirmed by the company, as well as its price in the various countries. At the moment, we only know that Xiaomi Mi 8 will be available in Egypt, Spain, India, Italy, Russia, France, and Vietnam. Xiaomi Mi 8 has a 6.21-inch screen showing images at a Full HD+ resolution of 2248 x 1080 pixels. It has a notch and a 3D facial recognition system similar to Face ID for authentication. Its design is made of glass (back) and 7000-series aluminum (frame), but it is not waterproof. On the hardware side, it has an octa-core SoC: the top-end Snapdragon 845 by Qualcomm, running at a max frequency of 2.8 GHz.
