The Redmi 6 Pro is scheduled to launch on Monday, June 25. Ahead of the launch, more live photos of the device have surfaced on the web.

One of these new photos shows the device turned on, giving us a look at the notched display in action. There is also a picture that shows the “About Phone” page of the device. This photo reveals the device is running MIUI 9.6 based on Android 8.1 Oreo with May 2018’s security patch.

The photo also confirms the device will come with 4GB of RAM, an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz, and 64GB of built-in storage.

The launch poster has also revealed that it will come with AI (cameras), a 4000mAh battery, and possibly a Snapdragon 625 SoC. It still beats us as to why Xiaomi would use the Snapdragon 625 processor in this device.

The Redmi 6 comes with an Helio P22 chipset which is like a 12nm version of the 14nm SD625. This means the Helio P22 should have a better performance than the SD625. Also, we are wondering what the price will be since the Redmi S2 (or Redmi Y2 in India) which is less than two months old and also comes with a Snapdragon 625 is priced at ¥999 (~$157) for the 3GB and 32GB model.
