Some OnePlus 6 users are facing an issue with their displays. The complaint is that the display flickers under bright light. The flickering occurs when adaptive brightness is turned on.

Since the complaints started showing up online OnePlus has been collecting data from users. On Friday, it announced that an update that will fix the issue will begin to roll out to users soon.

The fix will most likely be bundled along with August’s security patch which should arrive soon. No phone has received this month’s security patch yet.

The OnePlus 6 is the latest phone from the Chinese manufacturer. It has a 6.28-inch 2280 x 1080 screen, a Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB of storage. There are also dual cameras (16MP + 20MP) on its rear and another 16MP sensor in front for selfies.

The OnePlus 6 also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, support for Face Unlock, dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.0 and even keeps the earphone jack. It is also splash resistant and packs a 3300mAh battery.
