Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo, which was launched in India earlier this year in April for Rs. 16,990 ($260), has now again received a price cut. Earlier, the phone had received a price cut of Rs. 3,000 and now again it has received a price cut of Rs. 1,000.

With this new price cut, the Galaxy J7 Duo’s effective price in India is Rs. 12,990, which roughly converts to $188. At this price point, the device will compete against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, and Oppo Realme 1 among others.

The phone is available for purchase through online retailers such as Amazon, Samsung Online Store, Flipkart as well as through offline retailers across the country. However, it is not yet known if the price cut is temporary or permanent.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo features a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display with screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, the device is powered by the company’s own octa-core Exynos 7 Series processor, clocked at 1.6GHz, coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. It also features a microSD card slot, allowing users to expand the phone’s storage capacity.

On the back side, there’s a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with f/1.9 aperture and an LED flash. On the front side, it comes equipped with an 8-megapixel sensor with a f/1.9 aperture and an LED flash. The front-facing shooter comes with Selfie Focus and Beauty Mode. It also supports the Face Unlock feature.

Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB port. The phone is running Android Oreo operating system out of the box and is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.
