The Vivo X23 is the upcoming smartphone from BBK Electronics’ Vivo. It is scheduled for an August 23 release and there are rumors it will be the first phone with 10GB of RAM. Ahead of its release, live photos of the device have been posted on the web, revealing the front design.
The photos which were shared online by a Weibo user shows an individual using the phone in public. Although one can only see the front of the phone which has a case and a protective glass on, a close-up image shows the phone comes with the new valley-style notch.

OPPO already kickstarted the trend with the OPPO F9 and F9 Pro and we have seen an upcoming Honor phone with the same design. The OPPO R17 also has the same-styled notch. We are sure there will be more devices with the same design. Trust Chinese manufacturers to milk a design.
There doesn’t really appear to be a difference in the size of the lower bezel, but the smaller notch should mean a slight increase in the screen-to-body ratio.

The Vivo X23 is expected to come with a Snapdragon 670 processor, an improved in-display fingerprint scanner, and dual rear cameras with a 3x telephoto lens.
