There are tens of rugged smartphones on the market already and there are a handful of gaming smartphones too. What we do not have is a rugged gaming smartphone and that is where the Doogee S70 comes in – a phone that merges both categories.

Doogee S70

The Doogee S70 comes with a 5.99inch full HD+ display that is shatterproof and has support for glove touch. It is powered by an Helio P23 processor clocked at 2.5GHz and has a Mali-G71 MP2 GPU. There is 6GB of RAM on board along with 64GB of expandable storage.

The phone has a one-touch gaming mode that clears all other running apps and tasks and directs all power to whatever game you are playing. Doogee also says it has a metal cooling module on the back which improves cooling efficiency.

With the Doogee S70, one should be able to take great cameras too. There are dual cameras on the rear a 12MP Sony IMX363 f/1.8 1.4m sensor with dual PD autofocus and a secondary 5MP sensor for capturing depth of field details. The front-facing camera is a 16MP f/2.0 wide-angle sensor.

Doogee has also included a 5500mAh battery which it says should provide up to 11 hours of PUBG/Fortnite gameplay. It also has support for 24W fast charging and wireless charging. The Doogee S70 is waterproof and dustproof and can even withstand pressurized waterjets. It is also MIL-STD-810G certified, has NFC and a fingerprint scanner, and will run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box

Doogee will sell the phone with a gamepad that can be attached to the phone. The gamepad is similar to that sold with the Black Shark gaming phone has it only has controls on the left side.

The last two color variants are just the Mineral Black version with orange and red accent respectively.
