On Aug. 8, Meizu had introduced the Meizu 16th series of smartphones through an unveil event in Beijing, China. The enticing starting price of 2,698 Yuan makes it one of the irresistible Snapdragon 845 powered smartphones. At the launch event of the Meizu 16th, the company had confirmed that it will be available in two color choices such as Black and White. Couple of days after the launch of the Meizu 16th, the rumor mill claimed that the company may introduce a new color variant for it. Today, some netizens have shared an image of the new “Mirror Blue” edition of the Meizu 16th. It is also speculated that the new variant may carry the same price tag as the other two color variants.
The above image reveals that the Mirror Blue Meizu 16th will be a color gradient that gives it a premium appeal. The handset seems to be sporting 3D glass back shell that is curved on all four sides. If the Meizu 16th arrives in the new color, it is very likely that the Meizu 16th Plus will be also available in the same color. At present, there is no official confirmation by Meizu on the existence of the Meizu 16th Mirror Blue variant.
Last week, the Meizu 16th was made available on its first very sale in China and it was sold out in just few seconds. The Meizu 16th is equipped with an 18:9 aspect ratio display that measures 6 inches. The Snapdragon 845 SoC is present under the hood of the phone. It comes in multiple storage editions like 64 GB and 128 GB and RAM variants like 4 GB, 6 GB and 8 GB. It is equipped with 12-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual camera and 20-megapixel front-facing camera. The handset receives power from 3,010mAh battery.
On the other side, the Meizu 16th Plus features 6.5-inch S-AMOLED screen that offers 18:9 aspect ratio. It features the same SoC, dual rear cameras and front-facing camera available on the Meizu 16th. Its storage variants are 128 GB and 256 GB and its RAM variants are 6 GB and 8 GB. It receives power from 3,750mAh battery.
