Huawei’s sub-brand Honor will be announcing Honor 8X series which includes Honor 8X and Honor 8X Max smartphones on Sept. 5. The Honor 8X Max is now listed on VMall with all its specifications and official images.

The Honor 8X Max VMall listing reveals that the handset features a 7.12-inch display that supports FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2244 pixels. The handset offers a screen-to-body ratio of 90 percent thanks to its waterdrop display. Also, the massive display of the 8X Max has been certified by TUV Rheinland for eye protection. The rear side of the phone is made of glass with 3D design. It will be coming in colors like blue, black and red.

The product listing has no details on the chipset that powers the Honor 8X Max. It is speculated that it could be fueled by Snapdragon 660. The SoC of the phone is coupled with 4 GB of RAM. It has an internal storage of 64 GB. The other variant of the phone includes 128 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM.

For more storage, it is equipped with a microSD card slot. The connectivity features that are available on the 8X Max include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, microUSB and 3.5mm audio jack. The handset is preinstalled with Android 8.1 Oreo that is preinstalled with EMUI 8.2. A fingerprint scanner is placed on the back panel of the phone. The handset carries support for 9V/2A charging and it can be also used for reverse charging other devices.

Apart from SoC, the product listing of Honor 8X Max lacks information on the battery and camera configuration. The TENAA listing of the phone has revealed that it will be arriving with a 4,900mAh battery, 16-megaipxel + 2-megapixel dual camera and 8-megapixel frontal shooter. +*The handset is now available for booking through VMall. Only the Magic Night Black and Charm Blue variants are currently available for booking. The smartphone offers Dolby Atmos surround sound output through its dual speakers.

The Honor 8X Max can booked by paying 99 Yuan in China. The final payment can be paid between Sept. 5 and Sept. 7 after which its shipments may begin. The listing does not contain any information on its pricing. The aforementioned specifications suggest that it will be a worthy competitor for the Xiaomi Mi Max 3.
