When it comes to dual cameras, phone manufacturers usually go with any of these three main combinations:
- RGB + Monochrome configuration like that of the Essential PH-1,
- Wide angle lens + Super-Wide angle lens like the LG V30
- Wide + Telephoto like the iPhone 7 Plus
It has been reported that Vivo‘s next smartphone, the X23, will go with a wide angle + super wide angle combination. This means the phone will be able to switch to a wide angle mode when taking photos. The wide-angle mode is great when taking pictures where a building or beautiful landscape is the backdrop for the photo.
The super-wide angle camera is said to be a 13MP 125° sensor while the main camera is a 12MP Sony IMX363 sensor. The cameras will have AI features.

A 3400mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast charging will power the device while Android 8.1 Oreo will be pre-installed.
The Vivo X23 launches on September 6.
