Realme has sent out media invites for an event that is scheduled to take place on 26th and 27th September. While the company has not revealed what it plans to launch, it’s likely that the Realme 2 Pro will be launched at the event.
The event invitation reads “We are back” and “2 surPrise you” where the letters “2”, “P”, “r” and “o” are in red color, highlighting the word “2 Pro”. Also, the company had earlier revealed that it’ll launch the Realme 2 Pro by the end of September.
Last month, Realme, which recently started operating as an independent brand after its split from Oppo, had launched the Realme 2 smartphone which the company says is not a successor of the Realme 2 launched earlier this year.
The Realme 2 Pro will be an upgrade over the Realme 2 and could feature a Full HD+ display along with a new upgraded processor or MediaTek Helio P60 (same as Realme 1), coupled with up to 6GB of RAM. Just like the Realme 2, we are expecting to see a dual-camera setup as well as a fingerprint sensor on the Realme 2.
The recently launched Realme 2 features a 6.2-inch HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio and 88.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. It packs 3GB/4GB RAM with 32GB/64GB internal storage and has a dedicated microSD card slot for expanding the storage capacity.
Coming to the optics, the phone has a dual rear camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel sensor with a fixed focus, f/2.2 aperture lens. The front-facing camera sensor also enables the Face Unlock feature.
It supports dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with OTG support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Running on ColorOS 5.1 based on Android Oreo operating system, the device is fuelled by a 4,230mAh battery.
