The Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi is holding an event on September 19 in Chengdu to launch couple of new smartphones. We have already received a lot of information about the Mi 8 Youth specs, colors and features. Now, it’s the time for the Mi 8 Fingerprint edition, within in a span of few hours, Xiaomi has again teased the device via a video teaser on Weibo. The new Mi 8 Fingerprint edition carries on-screen fingerprint sensor with almost similar hardware specs as that of the Mi 8 Youth.
As per the new teaser, it seems the device carries pure gold color as it is darker than the usual gold colors on the devices. Further, it will carry a full view display with a notch on the top as speaker grill is visible on the top side of the display. Also there’s a power button and volume rocker that are visible on the right side of the device. Apart from these nothing else is found in the latest teaser.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Fingerprint edition will be unleashed at September 19 along with the Mi 8 Youth as confirmed by the Xiaomi. The Chinese giant is also coming with Mi 8X with some high end features and it is reported to be the same Mi 8 Fingerprint edition. If everything goes well, Xiaomi Mi 8X or the Fingerprint edition will be the second Xiaomi device to carry the on-screen fingerprint sensor, after Mi 8 Explorer edition.
Mi 8 Youth and Fingerprint Edition Specs
As per rumors, Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth will carry the SD 710 with 6/8GB RAM versions in Black and Gold colors. It will come with a 6.26 inch of display having Full HD+ resolution and 19:9 of aspect ratio. There will be multiple RAM variants, dual camera of 12 + 12 megapixels, 24 megapixels front camera, 3250 mAh battery and MIUI onboard.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Fingerprint edition might carry the same specs with little bit change in the design and color option. It is also expected to arrive at the starting price of $1,999 Yuan (~$290) as like of Youth edition.
