Just ahead of its launch, Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite aka Mi 8 Youth edition has been exposed by Xiaomi CEO and Founder, Lei Jun. Xiaomi is all set to announce the new smartphone with the Xiaomi band 3 NFC edition at an event in Chengdu at 12:00pm. Yesterday, Xiaomi teased in a new teaser that Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth is named as Mi 8 Lite. At an event today, Xiaomi will announce Mi 8 Lite, Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint edition, Xiaomi Smart Alarm clock and limited edition NFC Mi Band 3.
In the new teased photo by Lei Jun, both the Mi 6 Lite gradient colors look stunning as they are giving a multiple color shade at both the top and bottom of the device. The eye catching back side of the device also features a horizontal camera sensor making it somewhat different from the iPhone X. Xiaomi Mi 8 lite will come with a 6.26-inch FHD+ display with an 19:9 aspect ratio. Further, it will be powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor with multiple RAM and storage variants.
Mi 8 Lite Specs
There will be a notch display with 24 megapixel camera sensor on the front side. It will feature a dual shooter of 12 megapixel sensors along with fingerprint sensor on the back. Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite will feature Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with 3,000 mAh battery. It will carry a 3250 mAh battery with fast charging tech.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 fingerprint edition will equip Snapdragon 845 having 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. There will be dual band GPS with in-screen fingerprint sensor and will launch in multiple RAM and internal storage variant.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite edition will be priced at 1999 Yuan (~$281) while the Mi 8 Fingerprint edition price is still unknown yet.
