Yesterday, Xiaomi had teased that it will be introducing a new Lite model today. As promised, the Chinese manufacturer has confirmed this morning that starting from Nov. 16, it will be selling a new variant for the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite that includes 4 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 128 GB.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite and Mi 8 Pro are the first phone from the company to sell in color gradient versions. The base model of the Mi 8 Lite that features 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of native storage is priced at 1,399 Yuan (~$201). The second variant that includes 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of inbuilt storage carries a price tag of 1,699 Yuan (~$244).

The highest configuration variant of the Mi 8 Lite costs 1,999 Yuan (~$288) and it features 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Xiaomi is yet to confirm on the pricing of the newly announced 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage model of the phone. The new handset may either be priced at 1,799 Yuan (~$259) or 1,899 Yuan (~$273).

The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite that was announced in September this year alongside the Mi 8 Pro comes in attractive color options such as Twilight Gold, Dream Blue and Deep Sea Grey. The Snapdragon 660 chipset powers the smartphone and it features a 3,350mAh battery that carries support for Quick Charge 3.0 rapid charging technology.

The Mi 8 Lite features a 6.26-inch notched IPS LCD screen that supports FHD+ resolution. The backside of the phone features a vertical dual camera setup that comprises of a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The smartphone can capture amazing selfie shots since it features 24-megapixel front-facing camera. For security, it features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Mi 8 Lite smartphone has been recently made available in some of the European countries. There is no confirmation on whether markets outside of China will be receiving the 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage edition of the Mi 8 Lite.
