Xiaomi has been pretty consistent in pushing the latest MIUI updates to older models. The Mi 5S which as released in 2016 is one of such models. The company has revealed via the MIUI Weibo account that the Mi 5S is receiving MIUI 10 stable updates.Xiaomi Mi 5S

The Mi 5S comes with its own unique features such as brushed metal back panel, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and others. So, the custom ROM will be specially developed to take into consideration the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The new update also brings features such as face recognition and Face Unlock to the model.

Apart from the MI 5S, Xiaomi’s MIUI team also have several older Mi phones covered in terms of the latest update. Just this month, the second batch of MIUI 10 stable version was pushed to a total of 21 models. The models include the Mi Max 2, Mi 4S, Mi 4C, Mi 5S, Mi 5s Plus, Mi Max standard version, Mi Max high version, Mi 4 mobile / Unicom / Telecom 3G versions. Others include the Mi 4 Telecom 4G version , Redmi 5A, Redmi 4A, Redmi 4 high version, Redmi 4X, Redmi Note 5A standard version, Redmi Note 5A high version, Redmi Note4, Redmi Note 4X MTK platform, Redmi Pro, Redmi Note 3 full Netcom, Redmi 5 Plus, and Redmi Note 4X Snapdragon version.
