In October, Honor had announced the Honor 8C smartphone in China. The same phone has been announced in India today along with Honor Band 4. The Honor 8C that features a notched display is the world’s first smartphone with Snapdragon 632 chipset. It includes a big battery and comes with an affordable starting price of Rs. 11,999.
Honor 8C Specifications and Features
A notched display of 6.26 inches is available on the Honor 8C. It carries support for 19:9 aspect ratio and HD+ resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. The Snapdragon 632 chipset is assisted by 4 GB of RAM.
The Honor 8C comes in two storage sizes of 32 GB and 64 GB. It includes a microSD card slot for more storage. It includes a 4,000mAh battery. There in on support for fast charging on this mid-range Honor phone.
On its rear of the Honor 8C is the 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera system. A selfie shooter of 8-megapixel is placed inside the notch of the smartphone. For security, the Honor 8C is equipped with features like fingerprint scanner and face recognition. The EMUI 8.2 based Android 8.1 Oreo come preloaded on the phone. The Honor 8C is packed with usual connectivity features such as dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB and 3.5mm audio jack.
Honor Band 4 Specifications and Features
Honor Band 4 has arrived as a competitor for the Xiaomi Mi Band 3. The Band 4 was announced in September in China.
The Honor Band 4 features a 0.95-inch OLED screen that is overlaid with a 2.5D curved glass. It includes a 100mAh battery that promises a standby time of 20 days.
It offers 5ATM water resistance which means it can be used under 50 meters of water. Since it is a fitness band, it is packed with features like sleep tracker, heart rate monitor and pedometer.
The Honor Band 4 can also show notifications for calls and messages from a Bluetooth paired smartphone.
Honor 8C and Honor Band 4 Pricing and Release Date
The 32 GB and 64 GB Honor 8C models are respectively priced at Rs. 11,999 and Rs. 12,999. It can be purchased exclusively through Amazon India. Jio users who purchase the Honor Band 4 can benefit from Rs. 4,450 cashback and 100 GB of 4G data.
The handset can be availed in colors like Black and Blue. Amazon India will begin the sales of the smartphone starting from Dec. 10. It can be also purchased through Honor India’s official online store. The pricing and release of the Honor Band 4 is yet to be confirmed.
