Recently, Vivo launched the Vivo Y81 smartphone in India. Now, as we reported earlier, the Chinese company is gearing up to soon launch another variant of the phone, dubbed Vivo Y81i.

According to the latest reports, the Vivo Y81i will be launched in India on 7th December and could carry a price tag of under Rs. 10,000, which roughly converts to $144. It will reportedly be available for purchase through leading online stores as well as the majority of offline retailers across the country.

The smartphone is said to feature a 6.22-inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the device will be powered by MediaTek‘s MT6761 processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM. The 6761 chipset seems to be the lower variant of the Helio A22 which carries model number MT6762.

It will pack 16GB of internal storage and will come with a microSD card slot that will enable users to further expand the phone’s storage capacity. As far as the cameras are concerned, the phone will feature a 13MP camera sensor on the back and a 5MP front-facing snapper with AI-based Face Beauty feature.

Connectivity options on the device will feature 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB 2.0, and USB OTG. Running on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box with the company’s own FunTouch OS, the phone will be powered by a 3,260mAh battery and given the specifications, it’s obvious that it won’t support any type of fast charging technology.
