Xiaomi as a smartphone manufacturer is quite popular all around the world. However, most of us may be unaware of Mi Ecological Chain (Mijia) which produces a wide variety of digital products including walkie-talkie, telescope and so on. Now, they’ve launched an extremely lightweight version of the bee headlights, priced at ¥ 99.

The ultra-light version of the bee headlights employs CREE XP-G3 series lamp beads as the primary light source. It’s said that the soft light will not affect the eyes badly while illuminating the road ahead. While the red light source is of multi-functionality, it operates on three modes: highlight, strobe, and SOS. And, in an emergency situation, one can be used as a warning light.

Regarding the overall build, the ultra-light bee headlight weighs merely 27 grams. When combined with the headband the headlight weighs 42 grams. Because of the lightweight nature, when worn the headlight won’t feel hefty, and it should be comfortable for the user.

The headband is designed in such a way not to increase the overall weight of the headlight. It’s made of cotton, which is not only comfortable to wear but also a good sweat absorbent. The headband adjustment buckle can easily adjust the length of the headband, and both men and women can choose the size that suits them.

Coming to the component that powers the headlight. The headlights are equipped with a 500mAh lithium battery that supports charging with a mobile power source. Xiaomi claims of it to provide backup of around 17 hours. For instance, if you run 1 hour every night, the rechargeable headlight can run for half a month which is insane.

It’s pertinent to mention here, so far, Mi eco-chain products have been honored with 116 industrial design awards, especially the new Mi electric scooter won the 2017 German red dot best of the best award and Mi LED smart lamp won 2017 German iF Gold Award. All these rewards show how well the Mijia products are performing in the market.
