The Honor V20 budget-friendly flagship smartphone will be unveiled on Dec. 26. Just as the predecessor Honor V10 smartphone from last year was fueled by Kirin 980 chipset, rumors have been claiming that the Honor V20 will be featuring the Kirin 980 SoC. Today, the Honor V20 smartphone with model number PCT-AL10 has appeared on Geekbench that it will indeed by powered by the Kirin 980 SoC.

The Honor V20 PCT-AL10 Geekbench listing reveals that the handset has scored 3261 and 9792 benchmarking scores in the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench. The listing does not directly mention Kirin 980 name for the processor. However, the 1.8 GHz clock speed mentioned as the base frequency belongs to the quad-core Cortex A55 CPU of Kirin 980.

The Kirin 980 chipset is accompanied by 8 GB of RAM. The smartphone is preinstalled with Android 9 Pie OS. After the Honor Magic 2 premium flagship phone that was announced in October, the Honor V20 is the second phone from the company to feature the Kirin 980 SoC.Honor V20 Geekbench_

The Honor V20 will be featuring the very same 6.4-inch IPS LCD screen that is available on the recently unveiled Huawei Nova 4. The screen of the Honor V20 features a display hole at its top-left corner for the 25-megapixel selfie camera.

The Honor V20 will be packed with a 4,000mAh battery that it will include support for 22.5W charging. The rear side of the smartphone will be featuring a triple camera system which will be featuring Sony IMX586 48-megapixel primary sensor. The handset will carry support for 960 fps slow-motion video shooting. It is also expected to feature a TOF 3D camera for creating 3D models of objects and people for AR.

Rumors have it that the 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage editions of the Honor V20 will be respectively priced at 2,799 Yuan (~$405) and 3,299 Yuan (~$478). However, there is no information available on the pricing of the 8 GB RAM variant that has surfaced on Geekbench today.

The Honor V20 will also featuring Link Turbo that combines Wi-Fi and LTE signals for enhanced connectivity. The Chinese manufacturer will be also releasing a special edition version of the smartphone that is being dubbed as Honor V20 Maserati edition.

The smartphone will be hitting the global markets as Honor View 20. The international edition of the phone will be announced on Jan. 22 in Paris, France.
