Nokia 9 PureView is one of the handsets that is expected to go official alongside other rumored devices such as Nokia 6.2 (2019), Nokia 8.1 Plus and Nokia 1 Plus on Feb. 24. Most Android flagship phones launching this year including the Galaxy S10 series and Xiaomi Mi 9 are arriving with the powerful 7nm Snapdragon 855 SoC. However, various reports have claimed that HMD Global has settled for last year’s Snapdragon 845 mobile platform for the Nokia 9 PureView. Today, the smartphone has appeared on Geekbench to reveal that it will indeed arrival with Snapdragon 845 SoC.

The Nokia 9 PureView has appeared as “Nokia 9” on Geekbench. In the single-core test of the benchmarking platform, the handset has scored 2269 points. In the multi-core test, it has scored 8793 points.  The Snapdragon 845 chipset and 6 GB of RAM are present under the hood of the device. It comes preinstalled with Android 9 Pie OS.

The 6 GB RAM variant of the phone may come equipped with 128 GB storage. The base model of the phone is expected to feature 4 GB of RAM which could be accompanied by 64 GB or 128 GB of storage. The 10nm Snapdragon 845 SoC is not as efficient as the new 7nm Snapdragon 855, but the Finnish firm will be highlighting the ZEISS optics enabled penta-lens setup. Rumors have it that the Nokia 9 PureView can shoot up to 64-megapixel resolution photos since it features a pair of 12-megapixel sensors, a pair of 16-megapixel sensors and an 8-megapixel sensor.

The Quad HD+ resolution support screen of 5.99 inches along with in-display fingerprint scanner is rumored to be arrive on the Nokia 9 PureView. It may include a 4,150mAh battery that will be equipped with support for 18W fast charging. Rumors have it that it could be the first Nokia phone to support wireless charging. The Android 9 Pie OS on the device is expected to deliver stock Android One experience.
